The Senior Director Creative Marketing, Video & Production is a highly visible senior leadership role responsible for advancing Empower’s end-to-end video production capabilities. This position leads the creative direction, operational execution, and technical excellence of all video initiatives across the brand. The role oversees the full lifecycle of video content creation—from strategy, concept development, and story direction through on-set leadership, production execution, editing, motion design, and post-production delivery. As a key creative leader within the internal agency, this position requires elevated leadership maturity, strong team mentorship, and deep hands-on production expertise to support Empower’s growing need for sophisticated and impactful video storytelling.

What you will do:

  • Serves as the senior creative leader for all video initiatives, setting the vision, standards, and direction for high-impact visual storytelling across the organization.
  • Provides strategic direction and hands-on creative involvement across concepting, scripting, editing, motion design, and full production execution, requiring end-to-end mastery of the video production process.
  • Leads, mentors, and develops a multidisciplinary team of video creatives and production specialists, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversees all stages of video production, including idea development, scriptwriting, pre-production planning, production logistics, casting, on-set direction, and post-production management.
  • Exercises on-set leadership, guiding production crews, talent, technical teams, and external partners to ensure creative alignment, efficient execution, and consistently high-quality outcomes.
  • Ensures all video content aligns with Empower’s brand standards, strengthens brand storytelling, and effectively engages internal and external audiences.
  • Introduces new production approaches, emerging technologies, advanced editing and motion design techniques, and innovative storytelling formats to expand Empower’s content capabilities.
  • Establishes, refines, and oversees production workflows, processes, and operational systems to enhance efficiency, consistency, and creative quality across all video initiatives.
  • Manages relationships with external production partners, editors, animators, motion designers, and creative vendors to maintain alignment with brand standards and project expectations.
  • Provides creative leadership and oversight for all short- and long-form video content, including brand storytelling, corporate communications, educational content, cinematic productions, and motion graphics.
  • Performs all responsibilities inherent to a senior managerial role, including performance reviews, coaching, talent development, staffing decisions, and setting high expectations for creative and technical excellence.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, media production, fine arts, or related creative discipline.
  • 12+ years of experience in video production, directing, editing, storytelling, or motion design; advanced technical proficiency required.
  • Proven managerial experience leading creative, production, or post-production teams, with demonstrated success in mentorship and leadership maturity.
  • Proven ability to direct complex productions and deliver high-quality video content from initial concept through final delivery.
  • Strong B2C experience required; B2B or corporate storytelling experience preferred.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and persuasive skills with strong executive presence.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, manage concurrent production timelines, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with strong leadership instincts, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to quality.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment a plus

Base Salary Range

$125,400.00 - $181,875.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
