About the Role

As a Sales Development Intern at Proshort.ai, you’ll work directly with our Sales Director, to learn the art and science of outbound prospecting. You’ll make calls, send targeted outreach, and connect with sales leaders at cutting-edge tech companies — all while receiving personalized coaching and hands-on experience inside a rapidly evolving AI startup.
This internship is performance-based, with compensation tied to qualified leads and closed business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Make a minimum of 90 outbound calls per day, supplemented by targeted email and LinkedIn outreach.
  • Generate new qualified leads and schedule meetings for the Proshort sales team.
  • Research accounts to identify ideal prospects and decision-makers.
  • Maintain accurate lead and activity data within the CRM.
  • Follow up with prospects to move them through the qualification process.
  • Participate in daily coaching sessions and weekly syncs with the Sales Director.
  • Learn modern outbound tools, messaging frameworks, and cold call strategies.

Performance Expectations

  • 12 qualified meetings booked per month.
  • 90+ outbound calls per day, with consistent outreach across calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
  • Activity levels aligned with the most current SDR performance benchmarks.
  • Demonstrated progress through coaching, feedback, and consistent follow-through.

Compensation

This internship is performance-based:
$100 per qualified lead generated (meeting Company-defined criteria).
$100 per lead that enters a trial period.
$100 per lead that converts into a paying customer.
Payments are made at the end of each month and each meeting/lead generated must meet the company-defined criteria. Meetings booked without proper qualification criteria will not count.

Ambitious, curious, and eager to break into tech sales.
Strong communicator who’s not afraid to pick up the phone.
Comfortable operating in a high-activity, feedback-driven environment.
Organized and consistent in tracking leads and outreach.
Excited by emerging technologies and how AI is reshaping the future of sales.
Previous sales or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required.
Current/graduate student, recent graduates or someone looking for a career change.
