Job overview
We are looking for an experienced web developer/engineer to join our team as we continue to deliver new products and improvements. As an engineer on our web team, you will be working with a close-knit team that works on all of Reelgood’s various web products & TV Applications. You will be working closely with our product, design, mobile, and backend teams on similar projects. Due to the size of our web team and rapid product & company growth, you will have an enormous impact on the future of Reelgood.
Key responsibilities and outcomes:
- Mentor other team members. Skill-building, PR reviews, and workflow management to ensure everyone can do their best work.
- Deliver best in class solutions – work with different technologies, languages & frameworks in all layers of the web stack, from front-end to cloud computing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with SEO, product, and content teams to drive growth.
- Support on-demand requests from other teams within Reelgood.
- Work in an agile development environment (Kanban, iterative development, short release cycles).
- Code, Test, Review & Deploy!

- SASS, CSS w/ Tailwind CSS

- AWS (EC2/Elastic Beanstalk/Lambda) & Vercel Products
- Cordova/Phonegap
Qualified Candidates Will Possess:
- Intermediate/Senior software engineer with 3-5 years experience working either professionally or consistently working as a volunteer.
- Confident and self-sufficient with different technologies, languages, and frameworks in all layers of the web stack, from front-end to basic back-end. Including but not limited to React, CSS/SASS, Node.JS & Redux.
- Self-awareness, a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and empathy.
Nice to haves, experience with:
- Experience working with SEO, growth engineering, or web discoverability.
- Cordova/Phonegap.
- Statically typed languages (i.e TypeScript)
- Other Javascript frameworks such as Angular, Backbone etc.
