Rosotics is on a mission to make metal 3D printing dramatically more efficient, unlocking the potential to build larger and more complex structures than ever before. Our groundbreaking technology makes it simple to produce critical hardware at unprecedented scale, for use in aerospace environments. With Rosotics, there are no limits to what you can create.

Applied Internship - Spring 2023 (Systems & Controls)

As an early member of the Mantis Engineering team, you will have a unique opportunity to be the bridge between design and test; equally anchored in both disciplines with the ability to spearhead change throughout a product’s life cycle. You will provide input into the design and development of new and existing hardware and take a hands on, applied role in hardware assembly. You will have the opportunity to work on and improve the wide variety of components that enable Rosotics hardware to be the simplest and most robust technologies for large-scale additive manufacturing. You will need strong problem-solving ability and relentless curiosity, practicing breakthrough approaches to control system development and test procedures. Familiarity with Python, articulated systems, and REST API will be useful for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on test and integration of primary and secondary structures, components, and architectures for the Mantis Production System
  • Execute on directions for robotic control system programming and integrated system data acquisition, converting those directions into functional and test-ready systems
  • Utilize knowledge of control system performance to analyze and test physical and electronic systems
  • Perform case-use and performance testing to validate analysis and demonstrate compliance to criteria
  • Provide insight and unique perspective into electronic design and code to lead engineers, to drive product improvement
  • Exemplify technical excellence and be accountable for your work, challenging assumptions and building strong professional relationships
