We’re looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager who’s equally passionate about strategy and execution. You’ll take full ownership of lifecycle marketing - from building the strategy to writing the copy to launching campaigns that drive engagement, retention, and growth across every touchpoint.
This isn’t a traditional role. You’ll thrive here if you’re a self-starter who excels in unstructured, remote environments and brings obsessive attention to detail, a talent for persuasive copy, and a deep curiosity for translating technical science into clear, compelling messaging for consumers.
You’ll work across email, SMS, push, and in-product messaging - crafting personalized, high-performing campaigns, constantly A/B testing, and optimizing. You use AI to scale your impact while maintaining clarity, creativity, and precision. You move fast, write with purpose, and believe every word is a chance to connect, convert, or inspire.

What You'll Do
1. Strategy & Planning
- Own the full customer lifecycle strategy across activation, engagement, retention, and growth, with a particular focus on high-LTV DTC subscription models.
- Define and continuously refine customer journeys, segmentation, and lifecycle programs that deliver measurable value - leveraging AI tools and real-time data.
- Identify opportunities to personalize and scale communications through automation, experimentation, and message-market fit.
2. Execution
- Write and execute high-performing email, SMS, on-site, and in-app campaigns, with a sharp eye for every word and a strong grasp of audience nuance.
- Translate complex scientific concepts into clear, approachable messages for layperson consumers.
- Build lifecycle automations across the funnel (onboarding, education, upsell, win-back, referral), using AI to increase volume and quality.
- Maintain and enforce brand voice while flexing messaging to fit audience needs across B2C, B2B2C, and healthcare segments.
- Develop and manage referral and engagement programs that drive acquisition and LTV.
- Use an enterprise CRM for campaign setup, QA, launch, and monitoring - while creating internal efficiencies via smart workflows and internal documentation.
3. Optimization & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance and engagement metrics
- Run A/B tests across content, workflows, and segmentation to drive iterative growth.
- Use insights to proactively improve lifecycle stages, content relevance, and conversion points.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Customer Success Data teams to align lifecycle marketing with strategic company goals.
- Be the voice of the customer - gather insights and feedback to refine messaging and optimize journey stages.
- Thrive in a distributed, fast-paced environment where you can operate independently, bring structure to ambiguity, and ship high-quality work at speed.

Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing (preferably in health, wellness, or science-driven tech).
- Expert-level understanding of email marketing platforms (e.g., Blueshift, Klaviyo, Iterable, Braze, or similar tools).
- Deep, practical experience with Segment (or a similar CDP) to drive advanced segmentation, personalized campaigns, and real-time user flows.
- Proven experience designing and executing automated workflows (onboarding, engagement, retention, win-back) and referral campaigns
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong portfolio of lifecycle or CRM copy.
- Able to break down technical scientific concepts into approachable, benefit-focused language that is clear, compelling, and customer-centric.
- Obsessed with attention to detail but flexible enough to think creatively and pivot quickly.
- Experienced using AI to enhance content development, campaign execution, and analysis.
- Comfortable owning strategy but still a “doer” who thrives on rolling up your sleeves and shipping.
- Metrics-obsessed: you know how to read results, spot trends, and use insights to improve quickly.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving, fully remote, startup environment.
- Relentless about quality, obsessed with outcomes, and allergic to mediocrity.
