Main responsibilities
As part of the Real Word Evidence and Behavioural Science Team, the Data Expansion Lead will be responsible for ensuring our current and emerging data needs for Sanofi CHC team can be met through data licensing, third-party vendors, academic collaborations, and strategic partnerships. You will help develop the strategy for accessing real-world data and clinical capability to meet the strategic Sanofi CHC objectives. You will also be managing the Real world and clinical data governance model and process to increase transparency and access of data appropriately within Sanofi CHC.
The Data Expansion Lead will work closely with the Data manager, Analytics, Engagement leads, Behavioural Science, Digital, IT, procurement, and other project leaders to grow the data-driven culture within Sanofi CHC by coordinating data assessment and evaluation activities between internal teams and external vendors and recommend solutions. Your business analytical expertise combined with your deep understanding of patient data capabilities will make you a valuable member of this team.
- Lead the effort to identify and communicate gaps within the current internal patient-level data assets and external relationships
- Create and maintain a comprehensive view of data assets in key regions by
- Scoping data acquisition strategy and roadmap to ensure access to appropriate data according to the business need
- Identifying vendors and partners that can access non-commercial data sets on behalf of Sanofi CHC
- Directly engaging and building relationships with new data providers and clinical capabilities
- Assessing data assets quality and fitness
- Driving acquisition of new data assets, including all administrative and operational aspects
- Integrate emerging data sources into key initiatives within Real world Evidence function and more broadly at Sanofi CHC as appropriate
- Direct activities of internal and external team members involved in supporting data assessment and evaluation
- Ensure compliance with policy and SOPs
- Provide strategic input to the vision and development of a world class data capability
- Improve and maintain the data governance model and process as new data and new risks emerge
- Provide and revoke the data access appropriately, ensure traceability and compliance with data usage policies
- Provide trainings to certify data requestors/users if required
- Overseeing data and study tracking in the standalone platform
ABOUT YOU
Experience
- Experience in managing or analyzing patient data from biomedical/patient health data/real world data/clinical data/novel data streams
- Experience in managing operational aspects and negotiation with data

Technical skills
- Creative construction, negotiation and mobilization of multi-stakeholder partnerships and commercial arrangements
- Technical knowledge in related competencies including modalities, sources, and applications of patient-level data from clinical and real-world settings
- Cross-functional knowledge of pharmaceutical lifecycle, especially R&D and new product planning and resultant analytic needs (applications, methods, tools)
- Knowledge of compliance, privacy, and safety pertinent to real-world data analytics
- Expert communication skills
- Ability to understand business needs
- Ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs, and recommendations
- Ability to multi-task, takes initiatives and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work cross functionally, ability to be flexible and adapt effectively to a variety of individuals

Education
- An advanced educational degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD) and 5 years of experience in the life science or healthcare field
