The Lead Visual Analytics Engineer is responsible for working with Project Teams and other solution Architects to design and create solutions to meet the business needs. Core responsibilities include optimizing solutions to improve service levels, user experience (incl. performance tuning) and cost optimizations. He / She is accountable for maintaining the relevant standards in alignment with the Data Strategy, Enterprise policies and guidelines.

In this role you will…

• Design end-to-end Visual Analytics platform solutions to meet business needs in an operationally and financially efficient manner
• Work in close collaboration with the Data Analysts and Data Engineers to ensure that solution exhibits high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment
• Remains up to date on company’s standards, industry practices and emerging standards
• Develop visual analytics strategies, roadmaps, and solutions
• Contribute to the Data Visualization Governance and Standards planning, implementation, promotion, and enforcement
• Support global, Enterprise-class systems, with regards to ITIL/ITSM processes/practices
• Identify areas in need of improvement and lead solution implementation
• Manage and prioritize multiple initiatives, incidents and service requests while adapting to changing business conditions
• Document standard operating procedures for repeatable tasks and contribute to automation efforts
• Mentor junior analysts in data visualization design and delivery of data and analytic solutions, ensuring visualization requirements are met
• Prepare and maintain training material and SOPs, knowledge base articles and technical documentation

About you

• At least 8 years of experience in building and delivering data visualization projects (At least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Power BI)
• Microsoft Power BI Certification and/or AWS/Azure certifications – preferred
• Power BI Architecture, Development, and administration experience
• Cloud Architecture on AWS / Azure
• Agile Delivery
• Expert in Analytics and data warehouse concepts
• Basic Active Directory concepts, security permissions and network troubleshooting
• Proficiency in developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI
• Ability to implement row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models within Power BI
• Expertise with DAX expressions, Knowledge of KPIs, hierarchies, and the understanding of data relationships
• Experience in scripting (Power Shell or other) and automation
• Ability to explore and come up with innovative solutions. Service-oriented, flexible & team player. Self-motivated, take initiative and drive it to completion. Attention to detail & technical intuition
