BioSample management program is a transformative program which aims at building all the business network, processes and digital foundation to ensure compliant, fast and cost-effective management of biosamples across R&D departments. Biosource is the main digital foundation, built on Benchling SaaS platform, and serve as a biorepository for all biosamples (registration, storage, business process workflow management, disposal…).

Main responsibilities:

In this role you will lead a POD (Product Oriented Delivery team) to develop & deploy in Agile mode BioSource in US & Europe (FR, BE, GE, UK) to around 2,000 R&D users. It is expected that BioSource replace 9+ legacy applications and a lot of unstructured data (+200 excels, papers…). And you will liaise with the BioSample Management program stakeholders to create, own, and manage the roadmap to bring the most value to the business and users.

As BioSource BioSample Management Product Owner, you will specifically:

• Lead the Digital & Data Workstream of the BioSample Management program and define the overall strategy and direction of the product
• Maintain & adapt the 2-year roadmap, organize sub-streams as needed and manage related budget (~1.4M€ / year for build activities)
• Build in collaboration with sub-stream leaders (migration, data & interface) a detailed plan for the next 6 months (planning, resources, deliverables)
• Identify, prioritize and implement new product features to meet the needs of the business (backlog management with the scrum master), making decisions and arbitrations in close collaboration with the business leads when needed
• Coordinate site deployment activities with R&D BioSample Management Site leads, Data stream lead & vendors (release management, inventory and data readiness & upload, training and communication)
• Coordinate application migration activities with BioSample Mgt Stream leader, R&D Application leads & vendors (release management, data readiness & upload, training and communication)
• Coordinate & transition support of new releases
• Define & monitor user adoption and business value
• Follow-up of enhancements requests with the vendor (Benchling) product team
• Participate to vendor governance committees
• Communicate about achievements: create Yammer Post and quarterly Highlights
• Contribute to Budget planning of the Product line
• Work with Purchasing team to obtain and negotitate quotes with vendors for project implementation / support

About you

• Experience: Confirmed work experience in agile project as Product Owner. Nice to have experience in Research & Early development (biologics).
• Soft skills: Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a worldwide, multidisciplinary, matrix environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and to manage multiple priorities.
• Technical skills: Agile methodology. Transversal project & team management. Nice to have: Business analysis & data modeling.
• Languages: Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Other languages a plus)
