About the job

Our Team:

Sanofi Business Services (SBS), one of the 4 pillars of Sanofi’s Business Transformation organization, is setting up a captive Business Services center in Budapest to provide Finance & Accounting (Account-to-Report, Customer-Invoicing-to-Cash) as well as Employee oriented (Employee Experience) services.

With respect to Account to Report (A2R) the Business Services center will be covering the following areas of the process:

  • Assets Management
  • Tax Accounting
  • Intercompany Accounting
  • Treasury Accounting
  • GL Accounts Closing and Reporting

The Intercompany Senior Accountant (Interco CoE Operation Analyst) reports to Interco CoE Operations Team Lead Lead and works closely with Finance (Controlling, Treasury, Tax, Internal Control), other SBS departments, Customer Service and the A2R team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Deliver intercompany accounting services to Interco CoE Operations:
    • Reconcile intercompany accounts, analyse, and solve discrepancies and declare in netting system
    • Perform, tax calculations including deferred tax and prepare tax returns
    • Manage external relations including tax authorities’ queries or audits
  • Contribute to business reviews
  • Execute in compliance of processes, transactions and reports with Sanofi accounting policies, internal control guidelines and audit / SOX requirements
  • Complete all activities as per the global Core Model and operational KPIs
  • Develop expert level knowledge of the activities in scope as well as local knowledge of entities in scope and become a super-user
  • Pro-actively anticipate operational issues and coach junior analysts
  • Build, document, and transfer A2R Core Model process knowledge (Level 6/7) relating to tax & intercompany accounting activities
  • Identify process improvement opportunities through elimination of redundant activities
  • Participate in process automation initiatives and ensure seamless adoption and transition

About you

Experience:

  • Good and proven experience in GL accounting preferably in an international multicultural environment
  • Hands on expertise in corporate tax accounting and intercompany processes and activities
  • Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs

Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and expertise of MS Excel
  • Hands-on experience of SAP FICO
  • Desired but not mandatory: Experience in accounting-related IT tools (e.g. Blackline)

Ability to:

  • Organize, prioritize, and structure the tasks for oneself and direct reports
  • Attentive to detail, precise, action oriented and change agent
  • Role model / coach to junior analysts
  • Ability to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner
  • Team player, able to work collaboratively transversally and with A2R front line teams with an end-to-end mindset
  • Good communication skills, attentive to customer needs and feedback

Education: Bachelor or equivalent. Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance

Languages: English fluent (written and oral)
