Role Overview:

The AMEA Commercial Head will be responsible for the Sales, Growth and P&L of +€bn for the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa Regions. Reporting directly into the AMEA Region Head, this role will play a pivotal part in building a future-fit Commercial organisation through Financial and Executional business priorities and strategies.

Purpose of Role:

To support the delivery of AMEA Growth KPI’s & P&L to win in the market, by ensuring commercial priorities unlock brand growth, whilst creating a win-win with our customers.

Main responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of the AMEA share Growth & P&L:

  • Deliver profitable market share growth of Sanofi CHC AMEA Region, P&L plan budgets and relevant targets including eCommerce numbers

  • Directly delivering the EGx (Export, CBEC, Geo Expansion) plan for key brands

Ensure effective Shopper, HCP and Customer Focused Activation Strategies:

  • Lead and coordinate AMEA’s commercial strategic framework – ultimately re-designing if deemed necessary

  • Responsible for ensuring capability development occurs across the AMEA region for the required disciplines of the commercial framework (e.g. negotiation, strategic planning, HCP recommendation, GTM segmentation, etc.)

  • Identify the need for and ultimately guiding, the development of Trade / Customer / GTM projects that deliver transformation and/or improved performance, efficiency or effectiveness

  • Continuously challenge the status quo at zone level to drive BiC Commercial execution and build a ‘Challenger Mindset’ culture

  • Partnering with RGM personnel, drive the Gross to Net agenda across the region – including identifying opportunities, but also ensuring high standards of commercial policy are maintained at all times

Support the region on defined strategic projects:

  • As part of the annual budgeting process, ensure the annual commercial plan at a region level is a reflection of shared zone priorities and clearly defined and articulated. And throughout the year, give regular updates and confidence to the ALT of the results and any proactive / reactive actions to constantly strive for performance gains

  • Operating from a high level of functional and leadership capability, act as a leading voice and decision-maker across a wide range of commercial projects

  • Responsible for leading the team and ultimately the delivery of results to budget of EGX (Export & Geo-Expansion, incl. CBEC)

  • Through your team – which operates as a business partner, accountable for ensuring that all G2 operations across the region are clear, aligned and ultimately delivering to consistent high standards of compliance and performance

Build a Commercial organisation with the right tools and Challenger mindset to drive profitable market share:

  • Support and align with Zone Commercial leaders and GMs to ensure an aligned approach is taken to realising the full commercial potential of the region

  • Provide leadership and the definition of best practice for defining and developing commercial visions and plans

  • Coordinate and ensure the conditions for success are in place for the roll-out of relevant commercial tools and transformations

  • At all times, model out and hold your teams and colleagues to our Challenger Mindset behaviours and cultural values

Build a ‘Future Fit’ Commercial organisation through a clearly defined vision for Value Creation, Capability Development and Talent Engagement:

  • Responsible for the development and deployment of the AMEA commercial vision – utilizing but not limited to the established commercial strategic framework

  • Identify opportunities for performance and efficiency gains as well as the capabilities and enablers for success across each of the commercial disciplines (execution of brand plan; distribution and HCP engagement; eCommerce; Strategic Customers and; RGM

  • Support hiring managers with the recruitment of key commercial roles, and; work with Zone LTs to ensure commercial talent is utilized, developed and retained within the organization.

Internal: AMEA Commercial teams in Zones and Markets, Country Heads, Zone GMs, Global RGM & Commercial Excellence, Global E-commerce, Global Digital, AMEA Region Head, AMEA Brand & Innovation Head, AMEA Performance Analytics Lead, Financial Performance Heads, EULA/NA Commercial Heads

External: Distributors, Retailers & relevant 3rd party vendors

About You & Key Criteria for the role:

Education: Relevant Degree Qualifications in Business, Commerce or Marketing

Experience:

  • Approx 15 years experience in Sales and Trade Marketing

  • Prior working experience in a Multinational Corporation or local for FMCG/ OTC Healthcare Industry

  • Mult-country experience a must
