Sanofi Global Hub (SGH) is an internal Sanofi resource organization based in India and is setup to centralize processes and activities to support Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, CHC, CMO, and R&D, Data & Digital functions.   • Within our commercial Insights, Analytics, and Data organization we are transforming to better power decision-making across our end-to-end commercialization process, from business development to late lifecycle management.
  • Deliverables support planning and decision making across multiple functional areas such as finance, manufacturing, product development and commercial.
  • In addition to ensuring high-quality deliverables, our team drives synergies across the franchise, fosters innovation and best practices, and creates solutions to bring speed, scale and shareability to our planning processes. As we endeavour, we are seeking a dynamic talent for the role of “Manager – Advanced Analytics
  • We are looking for a team member to support our analytics team based out of US. Robust analytics is a priority for our businesses, as the product potential has major implications to a wide range of disciplines.
  • It is essential to have someone who understands and aspires to implement innovative analytics techniques to drive our insights generation across different franchises.
  • The core of the role is to be a trusted business partner having deep data mining expertise and a strong advanced analytical skill set.
  • The role will partner with the GBU Business Transformation team to support with advanced data analysis, Model building, Promo-Mix modelling, Insights, generating reports, and presenting the insights or output to senior Leadership
  • People:
    • Maintain effective relationship with the end stakeholders within the allocated GBU and tasks – with an end objective to develop education and communication content as per requirement
    • Actively lead and develop SGH operations associates and ensure new technologies are leveraged
    • Initiate the contracting process and related documents within defined timelines; and
    • Collaborate with global stakeholders for project planning and setting up the timelines and maintaining budget
    • Performance indicators:
      • Hands on modelling in support of GenMed, Specialty Care, CHC, Pasteur resource allocation work
      • Evaluates the effectiveness of various promotion and marketing programs leveraging secondary data sources
      • Marketing mix model / Promotion response model / ROI analysis
      • Impact of channel dynamics: Field Force/Multi-Channel Modelling (New Commercial Model)
      • Optimizes promotion resource allocation
      • Scenario-Based Simulation
      • Other analyses include customer segmentation, market performance analysis/trend Break detection, pricing analysis, web-analytic tools
      • Develops new methodologies/software solutions
      • Creates, maintains, updates, and evolves Marketing Mix Models Globally
      • Responsible for consistent metrics as inputs and outputs of the models
      • Quantitative Strategy Consultant partner with a broad range of internal cross-BU client teams across regions to deliver and advise seamless solutions across the most specific marketing and sales issues facing a client
      • Engage with lead Global Service Hub lead to formulate and apply state-of-the-art management science approaches (Resource Allocation) to define the need from the clients
      • Integrate output from the Global Analytic CoE to support Regional Strategy issues working with the Global Service Hub lead
      • Subject Matter Expert in Marketing Mix implementation
      • Strong healthcare industry knowledge and experience
      • Ability to assimilate multiple sources of information into actionable insight for business issues
      • Strong working knowledge of relevant data sources and ability to search for new and informative sources.

  • Performance:
    • Refresh Existing Reports and identifies improvement opportunities in reporting and BI tools and as needed structure / functionality with the latest insights as they become available
    • Create dashboards to synthesize and visualize key information and enable business decisions
    • Works to develop deal tracking analytics and reporting capabilities
    • Collaborates with Digital to enhance data access across various sources, develop tools, technology, and process to constantly improve quality and productivity
    • Contribute to evolving our offerings and improving efficiency of repeated /routine processes through standardization/ automation of various offerings, models, and processes
    • Proactively conduct rationalization of reports to avoid data redundancies and free up capacity to work on new initiatives/projects
    • Synthesis of data and insights by collaborating/gathering inputs from colleagues in other functions such as BI, Data Management, Market Research, Commercial/Business Excellence, Marketing, Strategy, Finance and BD groups
    • Provide quarterly utilization metrics of reports produced via usage metrics available in Power BI or other methods for reports outside of BI framework
    • Assist development and maintenance of KPI reports for the commercial team, covering Marketing and other related functions, and access appropriate information via a variety of tools and sources
    • Create dashboards to synthesize and visualize key information and enable business decisions
    • Develop a deep understanding of internal customers' data and analytical needs focusing on the customer-facing model
    • Monitor the external environment to stay up to date on the latest therapeutic area research and clinical development, as well as competitor landscape, and summarize and present findings through various communication channels
    • Capability in applying deeper technical skills and knowledge that is shared across the functional area (e.g., deep knowledge of key data sets, modelling capabilities, etc.)
    • Develop models (demand and patient, promo mix etcs) using key business insights from various market to support commercial excellence
    • Frame the key marketing and sales issues to guide the team’s analysis and work plan
    • Lead marketing and sales-related problem-solving activities, leveraging output from other Global Analytic CoE Sub-Teams
    • Work with Global Service Hub lead and/or quantitative modelers to synthesize input from various analyses into specific and actionable business recommendations
    • Support Regional Sales and Marketing Strategy and BD/CD by integrating Sub-Team modelling efforts with business issues
    • Develop, in collaboration with other Global Analytics CoE and Global Service Hub Lead, original marketing concepts, points of view, and problem-solving tools, frameworks, and approaches
    • Execute several Analytic projects concurrently
    • Prepare high-quality, accurate analysis using cutting-edge analytical methods
    • Communicate model results and Implications to business partners
    • Develop Resource Allocation tools and Advance Analytic process automation
    • Support predictive modelling projects (e.g., MCM/Digital Marketing Analytics)

  • Process:
    • Support delivery of projects in terms of resourcing, coordination, quality, timeliness, efficiency, and high technical standards for deliveries made by the medical/ field writing group, including scientific documents and clinical/medical reports
    • Contribute to overall quality enhancement by ensuring high scientific standards for the output produced by the medical/ field writing group; and
    • Secure adherence to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with all applicable standards
    • Refresh report on frequency/cycle basis (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually), along with QC checks for each refresh
    • Use latest tools/technologies/methodologies and partner with internal teams to provide support on all sort of regular and adhoc business analytics activities like build, maintenance, and enhancements of such systems
    • Ability to work cross-functionally, gather requirements, analyse data, and generate insights and reports that can be used by the GBU
    • Work collaboratively with the stakeholder teams to prioritize work and deliver on time-sensitive requests
    • Be able to provide and defend gathered intelligence, methodology, content, and conclusions to the global leadership in a clear, concise format

About you

  • Experience:
    • 6+ years of experience in a Pharma and/or CPG Data Science/Management Science setting.
      • Heavy Quantitative Analysis - State-of-the-Art Quantitative Skills
      • Economics Background a plus (i.e., Phd preferred)
      • Niche Modeling Consulting Background
      • Experience in Pharma Sales and Marketing Strategy Modeling
      • Advanced Econometric/Statistical modeling skills
      • Experience with SAS programming
      • Proficient in R and/or Python programming
      • Strong work ethic
      • Ability to work under pressure
      • Manage project, work with statistical consultants
      • Interact with quantitative business analysts
