Pharmacovigilance Specialist - VIE Contract

iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

About the job

Italy is part of the Italy/Malta and South Europe MCO. As a VIE, you will actively contribute to the Italian Pharmacovigilance (PV) team and local organization via projects and day-to-day collaboration and perform PV activities for Sanofi in the territories of Italy & Malta in accordance with local legislation and company guidelines.

Join our Italian Pharmacovigilance (PV) team as Pharmacovigilance Specialist and you’ll contribute to the overall success of Sanofi by establishing and sharing within the company a good knowledge of PV, including legal and company requirements, and to contribute to the maintenance of good customer relations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Pharmacovigilance Specialist for the products of Sanofi.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of Pharmacovigilance Operating & Safety Management.
  • Monitor continuously incoming communication to detect and appropriately manage and process incoming Pharmacovigilance data to report them in timely manner.
  • Monitor Pharmacovigilance requirements for global, regional and local programs.
  • Identify issues or dysfunction.
  • Contribute to the performance of education and training on Pharmacovigilance within the local organization, and to compliance metrics generation.
  • Collaborate with in-country partner functions, but also with regional teams to contribute to the appropriate management of Local Pharmacovigilance system.

About you

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience on similar position would be highly preferred.

Soft and Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of international and national (pharmacovigilance) regulations as well as industry standards.
  • Demonstrate sense of urgency, especially with respect to enforcing safety rules and global procedures as described in Quality Documents, Operational Manuals and Guidance documents.
  • Interpersonal skills: focus on details, high accuracy in carrying out assigned tasks, perfect organization of work, punctuality, diligence, the ability to set priorities and work under time pressure.

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in scientific field (Medical Doctor, Pharmacist, Health Sciences, Veterinarian, Biologist or similar).

Languages:

  • Very good knowledge of English is mandatory (good knowledge of medical terminology is additional asset), as well as basic Italian knowledge (at least understanding).
