JOB PURPOSE:

Provides high-level operational & strategic support services to GM

Able to independently handle issues/projects raised by GM

Communicates & cooperates widely across the organization and coordinates broader operational initiatives

Offer suggestions and solutions related to business operation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Strategic planning

a) Support GM on designing, corporate strategy & workout operation goals

b) Lead the overall GenMed China strategy development, drive the change initiatives, and improve business excellence

c) Support GM in preparing budget planning and business review process (F1, F2, Strategic Plan, LRP, etc.) and prepare the presentation to global management team

Act as the focal person to bridge BU in financial review process to have aligned business priorities, growth opportunities and investment

Perform detailed analysis and forecasts (P&L) based on business growth opportunities

d) Lead strategic projects and external partnership management across franchises, support GM to design and implement strategic projects to fuel long-term growth

2. Analytics and Business intelligence

a) Provide concrete business analysis case by case, per request by GM, sales, analysis and competitive intelligence, etc. work out suggestions & solutions and sometime initiate follow ups

Monitor important business KPIs; Support GM achieve business objectives and financial ambitions

Act as the focal person to provide business insights to ensure SFE, execution planning, financial planning fitting to the business nature and business strategies

Monitor and track BU performance to reach business and operational KPIs

3. Daily operation support

a) Support GM on all business reports preparation, including MPP, presentations for both internal and external meeting, etc

b) Organize GenMed LT meetings and tracking follow ups with timely feedback to GM

c) Support the internal reviews, audits, compliance case investigations to ensure that compliance procedures are followed in BU; Coordinate and conduct necessary internal trainings with support from compliance, medical compliance and legal BPs.

d) Work with P&C BP to manager people related process, etc

4. Project Management

a) Lead task force on projects raised by GM

5. Ad hoc tasks assigned by GM, such as resources allocation

JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree.

MBA /post graduation (e.g., master, PHD) qualification will be an advantage

Experience & knowledge:

Min 10 years’ experience with knowledge of pharmaceutical business process and strong financial management and analytical skills

3-5 years experience in consulting firm is preferred

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are required. e.g., developing project proposal, building data analysis models

Exceptional customers centric and problem-solving, with excellent ability to synthesize multiple perspectives into frameworks

Strong leadership to drive solution development and project execution, with ability to navigate complex contexts

Strong connecting and influence skills across business units and function departments, esp. for senior managements

Core competencies:

  • Good communication: able to clearly communicate objectives, get alignment and actively follow up
  • Project management: able to manage complex and mutiple projects with many stakeholders globally and locally.
  • Excellence command of both written and oral English
  • Honesty, positive attitude and respect towards co-workers
