Our Team:

The US Vaccine Marketing and Commercial Strategy team establishes marketing strategies for the brand and portfolio to manage the P&L and tactic execution, maximizing the upside and minimizing the downside. With a mission to chase the miracles of science, there is relentless focus on understanding our customers, competition, and market trends to inform value creation solutions, pipeline decisions and leadership of best-in-class product launches. The Sr. Director of RSV Early Commercial Strategy is the responsible for developing and implement strategies to ensure successful launch of pipeline RSV vaccines in collaboration with cross-functional teams including analyzing market trends, creating the launch plan, and overseeing the execution of those plans to maximize the success of the product launch.

Main responsibilities:

  • To be the launch leader in the US for the pipeline RSV assets, maximizing cross-functional preparations for future RSV launches, including management of LEX (Launch Excellence) process, in collaboration with the Early Commercial Lead who is accountable for LEX expertise for NA Commercial

  • Represent the US team in front of the Global Team by participating in the RSV Global Leadership team of both pipeline RSV assets anticipating the business needs, and the support required from the global team.

  • Proactively participate and follow up on the R&D project team, ensuring flawless execution according to the Launch plan.

  • In collaboration with cross-functional teams, coordinate the Insight Generation Strategy and Execution.

  • In collaboration with Finance, M&A, Generate and manage budget including tracking of current year budgets and development of multi-year budgets for planning purposes.

  • Create the Market Development Strategy and Plan

  • Communication of complex information to a wide audience, from senior executives to field sales teams regarding pipeline assets in RSV.

About You

Basic qualifications:


  • At least 10 years of experience in the Pharma Industry (vaccines experience preferred) with strategic and management responsibilities.

  • A robust combination of scientific and business & marketing experience

  • Confirmed understanding of technological areas such as biochemistry, regulatory, clinical development, digital, as well as a strong pharma & biological sciences knowledge.

  • Professional Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to lead in an ambiguous environment across different functions.

  • Highly strategic thinking and prioritizing capacity.

  • Ability to lead high-value transversal projects and to communicate to Senior Management

  • Strong communication, analytical, business skills as well as strong leadership capabilities and writing and presentation skills.

  • Ability to engage and empower a high functioning team with global footprint.

Preferred qualifications:

  • US Vaccines commercial experience

  • Advanced degree (e.g. Master of Science, MBA, MD, PhD, PharmD)

  • US product launch experience in vaccines

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Performance orientation and ability to work and deliver along agreed timelines.

  • Confident, articulate, and comfortable in team environment.

  • Passion for networking and relationship building is strongly preferred.
