The job opening is for a new position, established as part of the autonomy roadmap of the Consumer Healthcare Global Business Unit (CHC GBU).
Reporting to the CHC Head of Consolidation, Group Reporting & Norms, we are in search of an experienced and detail-focused professional to join our team as the Head of Statutory Consolidation, overseeing 3 to 4 headcounts. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in managing the financial consolidation process across our group of companies, which includes approximately 50 entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards.

As Head of Statutory Consolidation within our Finance Team, you’ll have a dynamic daily experience, encompassing the management of several critical functions within the Consolidation team, engagement with local affiliates, regular interaction with corporate departments (such as Controlling, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Internal Control), and a comprehensive financial overview of all CHC entities under direct consolidation.

Main responsibilities
1. Financial Consolidation:
Monitor the reporting and consolidation process (including milestone reporting, technical review, and internal control) in order to prepare and analyse the consolidated financial statements in the requested calendar.
Prepare specific instructions to the entities and conduct training sessions.
Supervise the analyses of the financial data reported by the entities which include the review of the main Group holding and pivot companies
Coordinate with local finance teams and GBS to gather accurate and timely financial data.
Participate actively to the Group reporting process optimization adopting a continuous improvement spirit, being proactive in feedbacks and a creative force.
Monitor the integration projects of new entities in case of acquisitions and divestments
2. Compliance and Audit:
Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and regulatory requirements in all aspects of the consolidation process.
Review entries managed at consolidation level.
Ensure the appropriate treatment is applied for complex and/or significant deals, as a support to local affiliates or other global departments
Participate to the evaluation of potential impacts of IFRS evolution for the Group and to the implementation of changes required (process, tools, change management).
Prepare and review financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Work closely with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address audit queries.
Supervise and validate of Legal Restructuring Forms across team.
3. Disclosure Management:
Participate actively to the preparation of financial disclosures in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and ensure timely implementation of necessary adjustments.
Liaise with other departments in Finance group for their specific inputs (controlling, treasury and tax) and with Business groups.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure accurate and transparent financial disclosures.
4. System Strategy and Evolution:
Develop and share with your team a comprehensive system strategy for consolidation and reporting, aligning with organizational goals and best practices.
Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and enhancement.
Participate to the implementation of system upgrades or replacements, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maximizing efficiency.
5. Manager and Key contact:

Recruit high skilled resources, promote and strongly develop talents (expertise and leadership)
Coach, train and develop in promoting the financial teams

Supervise and coordinate key actions across the team of consolidation managers/analysts (3 or 4):
Driving and validating the closing preparation; validation of P&L and top entries; post-mortem reviews.
Monitoring deliverables to meet deadlines.
Reviewing and validating team deliverables.
Supervising and validating of Legal Restructuring Forms across team.

Position oneself as a Key Consolidation Contact for other teams (asset valuation / technical accounting, etc.) / functions (controlling / tax /A2R / treasury / external auditors / internal control).
Develop a strong partnership with local finance teams (CFO, GBS teams) to facilitate the whole Group reporting process and to ensure the relevance of the analyses. You will participate in the CFO Quarterly review meetings.
About you
You possess strong technical accounting skills and hold a certified public accountant (CPA) degree.
You have already engaged in financial consolidation for at least 5 years within an international environment, in the consumer sector (preferably FMCG, FMCH, or similar).
You are well-versed in IFRS GAAP standards and have a proven track record in team management.
Your expertise extends to financial consolidation, reporting, and disclosure management, supported by a robust understanding of accounting principles and consolidation techniques.
Proficiency in consolidation software, particularly SAP FC, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are among your competencies.
You are known for your exceptional analytical and synthesis abilities, enabling you to decipher complex financial data and provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
