The job opening aligns with a newly created position as part of the Consumer Healthcare Global Business Unit’s autonomy roadmap (CHC GBU). Situated within the Consolidation & Statutory Reporting Department and reporting to the CHC Head of Consolidation, Group Reporting & Norms, we are on the lookout for an experienced and business-savvy professional to assume the role of Head of Consolidation Design & Innovation. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the maintenance and functional evolution of the Group’s Consolidation Systems (SAP FC, POLO, Wdesk, etc.).

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Consolidation, Group Reporting & Norms to shape the strategic and organizational directions of the Department, aligning with the Group’s vision. You will manage strategic projects from inception to launch, ensuring their alignment with technical, economic, and organizational objectives.

Your comprehensive skill set and deep understanding of business requirements, coupled with your extensive project management experience, will support the strategic objectives of the CHC’s Consolidation, Group Reporting & Norms Department. Under the guidance of the Digital Department’s master plan, you will champion the evolution of the information systems under your purview. You will lead innovation projects in Consolidation & Group Reporting and provide expert advisory support to project owners from the needs definition phase through to implementation. Your broad knowledge of information system processes will enable you to mentor the Support, Project & Release managers, as well as the Functional Administration Manager, in their respective duties. In doing so, you will ensure:

  • The consistent administration of the systems and the financial statement closing process.

  • The ongoing functional maintenance of the Consolidation, Group Reporting & Norms Department.

Main responsibilities:

1. Analysis of business needs:

  • Support the Consolidation, Group Reporting & Norms Department with the projects in order to suggest improvement and innovative plans for the Information System,

  • Communicate with business users to understand their functional expectations and their level of satisfaction with the current solution,

  • Ensure a monitoring of new technologies to detect new technical and functional possibilities offered by the market in coordination with Digital,

  • Be proactive in the direction to be taken in terms of technological evolutions,

  • Participate in the budget preparation of projects in coordination with Digital.

2. Definition of business development axes

  • Select the development priorities for the business taking into account all the economic, technical and human constraints of the Group,

  • Supervise the writing phases of the users requirements and functional specifications,

  • Be proactive on innovative solution proposals,

  • Set the objectives of deadlines, qualitative and quantitative performance for projects.

3. Project management

  • Contribute to the validation of the solutions to be implemented within the framework of the project plans,

  • Organize, coordinate and animate the various cross-functional teams (Digital, Business & Consolidation systems), which are involved on projects, from the expression of needs to the Go-live,

  • Ensure project management in terms of quality, costs, deadlines & risk/opportunity management,

  • Ensure the creation/updating of reference documents following the production of projects (Acceptance Files, Parameter Mapping, Learning, etc.).

4. Change management

  • Communicate on projects to different users,

  • Design and implement change management milestones,

  • Contribute to the strategic training plan of the various projects to ensure an optimized launch and run

  • Ensure the creation/updating of all the required documentation to ensure clarity and understanding, efficiency, to facilitate training and onboarding but also to preserve knowledge.

5. Management and representativeness of the top management

  • Recruit high skilled resources, promote and strongly develop talents (expertise and leadership)

  • Coach, train and develop in promoting the Consolidation Design & Innovation team

  • Organize and manage resources according to the workload of the Consolidation Design & Innovation team,

  • Supervise and coordinate key actions across the Consolidation Design & Innovation team

  • Organize resources management to be able to face business challenges,

  • Participate in events to give visibility to the Department and its activities.

6. Coordination of internal control and external audit

  • Liaise strongly and efficiently with the Digital department and the Controlling one as the Support, Project & Release relating to the TM1/Boost tool will be under this department. Polo (Product Flows Consolidation tool) being part of the TM1 cubes, it will be necessary to maintain in the Consolidation, Group Reporting & Norms Department, a deep knowledge on this tool and to closely collaborate with the TM1 support & development team for all the topics linked to Polo as for the adherences between SAP FC and TM1

  • Be the point of contact for the External Auditors and the Internal Control teams

  • Assist the External Auditors and the Internal Control teams in reviewing the various controls (SOX and others),

  • Ensure deliverables certifying the respect of the defined procedures.

7. Support on strategic projects

  • Carry out the implementation of strategic projects through specific developments,

  • Coordinate integration tests for projects liaising with the different ERP platforms (Polaris, CEP, Unity etc.)

About you

  • You are an accomplished professional with a university degree from a Business or Engineering School, bringing 8 to 10 years of experience to the table. Your expertise in SAP FC administration and customization is complemented by a solid understanding of Statutory Consolidation.

  • You stand out for your excellent analytical skills, adept at dissecting complex financial data and translating it into actionable insights for stakeholders. Your autonomy and initiative are matched by your capacity to prioritize effectively, ensuring timely delivery of results even under tight deadlines.

  • Your strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills enable you to navigate and collaborate within a dynamic, multi-cultural environment. Organized and business-savvy, you embody the spirit of teamwork and are driven by a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Fluency in English and French enhances your digital profile as an SAP FC expert. With direct management of two individuals and a dotted-line relationship with another managing the TM1 tool, your managerial skills are both direct and cross-functional, making you a versatile leader in our organization.
