The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for all Project Engineering functions within the business. The Senior Engineering Manager will provide leadership for the project engineering team, direct the activities of contractors, and support the greater technical team. The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for developing the discipline's overall goals, objectives, strategies, and measures as they relate to capital, reliability, plant capability, cost, sustainability, and waste reduction. The Senior Engineering Manager is an Early Management (EM) expert and supports the site in consistently meeting or exceeding safety, quality, environmental, regulatory, financial, and product supply goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the delivery of multi-year engineering plans to deliver critical KPIs for Supply Chain / Operations in excess of $10MM in capital expenditure and up to 100 capital projects annually

  • Plan, establish budgets, develop complex schedules and coordinate resources to ensure delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and cash flow for all projects

  • Drive results in Engineering metrics and own the following (KPIs): Budget Adherence %, Cash Flow Adherence %, Vertical Startup Adherence %, Critical Success Factor Adherence %, Projects Submitted, Projects Approved, CAPEX $ Spent vs Annual Budget

  • Site liaison and team participant for projects that are being executed by non site-based engineering resources

  • Champion Early Equipment Management (EEM) program including optimization, maintenance, retirement, and Startup Management (SUM)

  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership to project teams and the sites

  • Develop standards for equipment, systems and engineering processes for assigned functional area and collaborate with other global technical teams

  • Collaborate with the operation, quality, R&D, HSE, finance, and procurement functions to deliver successful projects.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical); Preferred: Master's in business administration or a Master's in engineering

  • Ten (10) years of project management, process design and contractor supervision

  • Proven track record developing and executing major, complex projects (>$10MM)

  • Experience writing, revising, and implementing SOPs

  • Continuous Improvement: Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Early Management (EM) Pillar Leadership; responsible for supporting and/or leading Startup Management (SUM) activities

  • Engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging or Electrical / Controls

  • 2D/3D CADD experience (AutoCAD or Solidworks) and drawing development

  • Programming experience in Rockwell Automation Controls Platforms
