We're looking for a dynamic Senior Digital Content Manager to join our team and drive our digital presence to new heights. In this role, you’ll oversee content strategy, development, and execution across multiple platforms to engage our audience, increase brand visibility, and support our marketing goals. They are passionate about digital and engaging content creation, and champion digital content and mobile-forward social strategy across all channels. The Senior Digital Content Manager is responsible for developing a culture of digital content management excellence enabling delivery of sales targets and profitability, with ecommerce sales having a combined business impact of $300MM in 2024.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead digital content strategy across 12 brands with a hyper focus on ecommerce digital shelf content that drives discoverability and conversion
- Develop and execute a digital content focusing on short- and long-term commercial success criteria and metrics and have ownership of the annual content calendar for each identified Sanofi consumer health brand.
- Own the content governance process to define, implement, evolve and enforce standards and processes for taxonomy, information architecture and content management.
- Advance scaled approach to best-in-class digital shelf content for 5000+ individual Product Detail Pages, 12 Brand Stores for both Amazon/Walmart, and 12 Custom Landing Pages on Instacart.
- Manage a content agency budget, spend allocation, job approvals, and reconciliation in partnership with the Sanofi finance/AP teams
- Manage a content syndication budget for Salsify (Global managed contract), Syndigo and Acosta vendors; manage a team of 4 independent contractors syndicating content and assets to 30+ retailers
- Lead digital content creation process with a team of agency partners and our brand marketing teams. Maturing and optimizing the creative production and content management processes to ensure the teams are making the most impact.
- Partner with PIM Product Owner to lead Salsify integration. Owns organization and dissemination of all eCommerce assets or campaigns including individual asset level, PIM/DAM utilization, Salsify platform engagement and calendarization
- Lead, manage, and develop the direct report Digital Content Specialist position and internal graphic design team for ad hoc, project-based work. Upon leadership approval and business needs, this position may have direct oversight of a summer intern.
- Maintain and evolve visual aesthetics, design language, guides, and toolkits to ensure design consistency across multiple touchpoints and in various contexts.
- Define, monitor, and publish key performance metrics to measure efficiency and showcase successes and opportunities for improvement for content management initiatives. Track and report on content scorecard to inform business planning and budgeting.
- Influence content creation efforts with data, analytics, competitive analysis and knowledge of best practices
- Continuously seek feedback and champion cross-functional and cross-cultural relationships to strengthen digital content management strategy.
- Provides strategic leadership and tactical direction to the greater sales organization, inspiring peak performance and driving optimized results. Provide ongoing support of existing content, identify gaps and integrate SEO best practices.
- Work directly with customer teams to educate and advise retailers on how to optimize their eCommerce platforms against both product discovery and conversion as well as external traffic drivers to the Retailer platforms.
- Oversee maintenance of FAQs working closely with Consumer Care team to educate and empower the customer.
- Manage special projects and GIGs.
- Accountable for continuous learning – understanding best practices, trends, methodologies, and technologies/platforms in an ever-changing landscape and lead upskilling of ecommerce content strategies through education of internal teams on what is new and how to win within the space.
- Develop and implement content engagement strategies to exceed ratings and revenue goals.
About You
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in digital content development.
- Educated to degree level, preferably with a focus in Business or Communications
- Strong experience in digital content creation, syndication, and building best-in-class content activation
- Experience in digital content production, including optimization and personalization
- Strong creative skills in visual media including imagery and graphic design
- Familiarity with web technologies, trends, and emerging ideas for content strategy and management
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (or other graphic design and video editing software), and able to create a variety of digital content
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project and agency management experience.
- Excellent writing, editorial and communication skills and experience in writing creative and attention-grabbing content, ‘telling a story’ in an engaging way in long form or for short-form content.
- Ability to think laterally and creatively and superior communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes at all levels of organizations
