Your job, as an Instrument Technician within our Metrology Team, will be performing calibration on all the equipment on the site.

Main Responsibilities

  • The Instrument Technician is responsible for supporting the calibration, design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the instruments, controls, and related systems typical to the manufacture of vaccines in order to maintain a GMP-compliant site.

  • This position reports to and supports the Metrology Manager who is ultimately responsible to maintain the current calibration of and ensure the efficient, effective and reliable operation of all instruments on site. T

  • his position will have interactions with Maintenance, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Engineering, Outside Contractors/Consultants, Industrial Operations, and Research & Development departments.

This is a 3rd shift position – 11 pm - 7:30 am Tuesday-Saturday.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma (or G.E.D) AND 4+ years in the instrument trade OR

  • Electrical education or experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior or related cGMP, Pharmaceutical, or other industrial quality management system (ISO 9000, etc.).

  • Calibration, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of temperature, pressure, speed, level, conductivity, pH, chlorine, dissolved oxygen, oxidation-reduction potential, turbidity measurement, control, and recording systems.

  • Proper handling and use of required standards and tools.

  • Instrument/machine/PLC interface and associated protocols.

  • Basic electrical control systems.

  • Electronics.

  • Schematics and the ability to read blueprints.

  • Industrial safety programs include Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

  • CMMS systems to record and track calibrations and repairs (ProCal and SAP preferred).
