About the job

Do you have experience in translating medical information into compelling marketing content and educating others? The OTC HCP Content & Training Manager is a critical element of the Brand & Innovation team with a core focus on supporting the brand strategies within the HCP environment. You will have responsibility for a broad portfolio of well renowned and loved OTC brands, by leveraging scientific and commercial acumen to drive short and mid-term executional HCP excellence to make Opella a leading Fast Moving Consumer Healthcare player. This position will support and collaborate with medical and commercial team, developing plans that will defend the existing business and maximize category growth opportunities for the future. You will also be a key source of internal training, and some external with key clients – ensuring that the sales and brand teams are educated around the product range science, features and benefits and how to turn these into compelling commercial selling stories.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop, localise and implement global (OTC) HCP communication tools (print, digital) to support the brand and the category objectives.

  • Partner with Medical team and CMI in gathering and analysing market intelligence (new studies, new claims, new campaign, innovation) for the continuous development of new messages and claims to maximise the competitiveness of content and innovation

  • Identify scientific / business needs based on feedback from HCPs to expand product solutions and offerings, in collaboration with innovation

  • Work with the Science Hub and Brand team, and cross functionally to develop best in class detailing materials – electronic and paper tools

  • Work with the field sales team and sales capability team to develop and deliver detailing best practice training and approach.

  • Support the sales team with tools and training to detail against the commercial calendar

  • Lead trainer for retail partners and conferences for OTC portfolio and supporting VMS portfolio training requirements as required

  • Regularly conduct analysis of market trends, brand performance, competition review and make recommendations to optimize HCP marketing, in coordination with medical, CMI and brand leads

  • In coordination with medical and regulatory, assess claims optimization across the portfolio

  • Support medical teams in developing brand medical plan including KOL engagement, clinical study plan, participation to congress and publications

  • In coordination with Category and Brand Leads, ensure HCP marketing is planned and controlled as part of internal brand budget

  • Assess process and criteria used to evaluate performance of medical detailing, measure the success of the campaign and take action to ensure its effectiveness

About you



Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, or relevant field

Experience:

  • Scientific marketing or business background in a highly regulated environment such as OTC preferred- Pharma or Consumer Healthcare industries also a bonus!

  • Experienced in translating Medical information into localised marketing content (digital, advertorial and educational material to name a few)

  • Some experience in HCP educational training an advantage

  • Familiar with organisational processes, consumer journey and HCP marketing strategies

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft skills (Excel and PPT essential)

  • Ability to translate technical medical information into marketable local marketing content for ANZ

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication both written and verbal, especially in groups, preparing and delivering presentations

  • Have level of autonomy and flexibility to adapt to changing strategies and priorities

  • Project Management, planning and organisation skills
