As a Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance by identifying innovative ways to manage financial reporting tasks effectively. Main responsibilities:

  • Month-End & Quarter-End Closing: Prepare accruals, journal entries, and manage financial master data in SAP and TM1, supporting complex areas. like Gross to Net, CAPEX, and Fringe.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and analyse balance sheet accruals, prepaids, and reserves, providing insights for risk and opportunity assessment.
  • Personnel Cost Controlling: Manage STI (Bonus) accruals, true-up processes, and personnel cost tracking.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with Finance Business Partners (FBP), Controllers, and A2R teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision-making support.
  • Variance & Forecast Analysis: Track commitments, analyse spend activities, and provide variance analysis to support financial planning.
  • Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure adherence to SOX and internal controls while driving process simplifications and tool enhancements.
  • Financial Advisory & Education: Act as a point of contact for Financial Controllers, offering technical expertise and educating stakeholders on financial policies.
  • Ad Hoc Projects & Best Practices: Support key finance initiatives, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and promote best practices across the region.

About you

Expected skills and experience:

  • 2+ years of financial analyst/controlling experience.

Soft skills:

  • Build partnerships across business levels, influencing and shaping decisions.
  • High attention to detail, quality, and ability to operate under pressure and strict deadlines.
  • Lead through influence with strong organization skills to manage multiple projects.
  • Develop rapport and credibility with stakeholders, working effectively across international work streams.
  • Adaptable in a complex matrix environment and act as a change agent to propose and drive changes.

Technical skills:

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, V-lookups, macros, and data downloads.
  • Demonstrated ethical behaviour in challenging situations and strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proven experience working across multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Technology savvy, business-oriented, and agile learner, capable of working in multiple systems and tools.
  • Solid grasp of evolving Sanofi technology platforms, processes, and controls, including SAGA.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or any related field is required.

Preferred:

  • MBA and/or CPA.
  • Pharmaceutical and public accounting experience.
  • Commercial Finance and Gross to Net.
  • TM1 and SAP experience.
