About the job

The purpose of the Medical Manager (MM) position is to develop the medical strategy and tactical plan to achieve better health outcomes, inspired by patients and consumers, guided by science and leveraging technology.

The MM is part of the brand team and should have an active participation in the strategic COPAC brand planning process for diabetes & IC. The MM should develop & execute the strategic and tactical Medical Plans, in alignment with the strategic imperatives of the brand plan, including the Engagement, education and data generation and dissemination Plans & shaping medical practice through our scientific partnerships with the medical community and healthcare systems.

Main responsibilities:

• The Medical Manager TA Diabetes, or Franchise level, contributes to the development of the global product strategy.
• Contributes to the local execution of the medical brand strategy and life cycle management.
• Builds the product and life cycle strategy in the country; identifies potential risks and prepares preventive actions.
• Accountable for the medical plan within their defined therapy area and scope. This includes the medical plan, data generation, scientific exchange, stakeholder engagement, medical governance and training of medical and commercial staff on TA and / or specific topics.
• Ensures consistency of medical content and scientific messages across tools and materials.
• Implements elements of the therapy area evidence generation programs to meet the business needs, regulatory, access and ethical requirements; executes the medical plan, trains medical and commercial staff on therapeutic area and / or product specific topics.
• Manages internal and external relationships within area of responsibility; ensures consistency of medical content and scientific messages across various tools and materials.

About you

• Experience: More than 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs, training or related.
• Soft and technical skills: Strategic Thinking, Results Orientation, Relationship and Influence
• Education: University Graduate in Health Sciences- Medicine degree. Desirable advanced degree in related areas; public health, epidemiology, pharma economics, Health administration, etc.
• Languages: Advanced English - Fluency in spoken and written business English (required)
