As a Public Affairs Manager, you will play a crucial role in advocating for policies that support Sanofi’s business objectives while strengthening our corporate reputation. This position involves policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategy development to drive meaningful impact in Vietnam’s healthcare landscape.

Main Responsibilities

  • Policy & Stakeholder Engagement: Develop a deep understanding of Vietnam’s healthcare system to support effective policy advocacy and external engagement.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and establish collaborations with government agencies, industry associations, research institutions, and think tanks to strengthen Sanofi’s reputation.
  • Public Affairs Strategy: Identify opportunities where public affairs initiatives can enhance the value and positioning of Sanofi’s portfolio.
  • Regulatory & Policy Monitoring: Track healthcare policies, provide internal analysis, and recommend strategies to navigate policy changes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Customer Engagement, and Sales teams to ensure a cohesive and aligned public affairs strategy.
  • Agency & Advocacy Management: Oversee external agencies supporting public affairs efforts and drive patient advocacy initiatives in line with business objectives.

Corporate Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensure all interactions with healthcare professionals comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Adhere to Sanofi’s compliance framework and ethical codes in all advocacy-related activities.

Ways of Working

This role requires extensive collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, including:

  • Internal: Cross-functional teams: Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Customer Engagement, Sales, Supply Chain.
  • External:
    • Government bodies: Ministry of Health (MOH), MSA, DAV, Legislative Department.
    • Trade Associations: EuroCham, AmCham, VCCI.
    • Healthcare institutions: Key hospitals, medical associations, NGOs.

About You

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in public affairs, government affairs, advocacy, or external stakeholder engagement roles (e.g., market access, communications).
  • Experience in policy advocacy, regulatory affairs, or healthcare industry public affairs.
  • Existing relationships with key public affairs stakeholders in Vietnam’s healthcare sector.

Knowledge & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, Political Science, Law, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • A postgraduate degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Fluency in Vietnamese and English (oral & written).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and policy advocacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Deep understanding of policy-making processes, regulatory frameworks, and healthcare landscape in Vietnam.
  • Ability to lead projects, align stakeholders, and execute initiatives successfully.
  • Diplomatic, strategic, and results-driven mindset.
