About the job

s CHC Corporate Communication Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing Opella’s reputation and narrative in support of Opella’s mission, ambition, business and sustainability strategy. Reporting directly to the GM of Japan and functionally reporting Global Head of Corporate Communication, Opella , you will be responsible for developing and executing integrated communications strategy and campaigns aimed at various stakeholders. This position requires a well-developed business understanding, with exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

In close collaboration with the Group Corporate Communications Team, Opella JPN Public Affairs, local marketing, M&S and Science teams, as well as the local/regional communications network, key responsibilities will be to :

• Develop and manage comprehensive integrated communication strategies ( internally and externally) in order to create awareness for the Opella Brand, and build Opella’s culture.

• Support the Japan Leadership team in navigating organisational or structural change by developing appropriate leadership communication plans and supporting content.

• Create and implement employee communications with a robust Leadership Communiations plan through local Town Halls, and news channels such as Viva Engage etc.

• Partner with local business’ growth strategy to provide strategic counsel on corporate and brand reputational risk, and other implications of business policies, practices and actions, as well as strategic internal communications.

• Create Japan targeted story mining and content connected to Opella’s narrative, through global and local internal and external channels.

• Work closely with the Global Media Relations team, securing positive coverage in business and industry publications on and off line.

• Ensure reputational risk mitigation (crisis communication) by working closely with local management and Global Media relations team.

• Collaborate with brand teams and agencies to co-develop and execute Brand PR and earned media strategies and plans.

• Work closely with the PA and Regulatory teams to ensure proper storytelling and communication activation on upcoming product switches, HealthCare industry events in alignment with global corporate messages and priorities.

• Establishing KPIs, tracking and measuring the success of communications.

About You

• Four Year Degree in related field, Master’s degree preferred

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in corporate communication with a focus on corporate audiences, and with proven ability to develop and execute successful integrated communication strategies.

• Experienced in leadership communications, transformation and change communications.

• Proven success in crisis communication and issues management.

• Brand PR and Marketing Communications.

• Experience in FMCG and/ or Health Care

• Strong ability to work effectively on cross functional teams and projects.

• Demonstrated ability to build and work with diverse teams.

• Global business perspective with local appreciation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for business communication.

• Proven advisory and influencing skills.

• Strong leadership & project management skills, with exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills. You build bridges between in and external audiences and bring disciplines together in pursuit of an integrated goal.

• Well-developed business understanding, with experience in dealing with integrated communication communications.
