The Medical Operations & Transformation Lead, Vaccines will oversee Sanofi Vaccines Medical strategic planning, operations, budget, governance, digital and other project management, and SBO initiatives. They are responsible for analyzing business gaps, identifying feasible transformative solutions, and developing and executing innovative plans to optimize operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning (35%)

  • Develop and manage the Country Medical Strategic Roadmap and other critical strategic plans.

  • Partner with Medical Leads, Franchise leads, and the Portfolio and Innovation Medical team to develop Country Medical Plans (CMP) and integrated evidence generation plans (iEGPs).

  • Lead the development and execution of medical digital strategy (e.g., Stakeholder Engagement Roadmap), ensuring alignment with Canada Medical Roadmap

  • Evaluate impact and results of the activities through identified KIIs and impact metrics in close coordination with the Medical Value & Impact Manager

Digital Innovation (25%)

  • Act as focal point for local deployment of digital tools to help the Medical team leverage essential resources.

  • Collaborate with technical and digital teams to advocate for and implement new technology capabilities and data input processes.

  • Partner with NA Medical Scientific Engagement team to enhance the external stakeholder engagement experience for scientific information.

  • Develop and maintain a data analytics and reporting roadmap/plan for the Medical team.

  • Monitor dashboards and content testing strategies to trigger real-time actionable insights.

  • Execute and advance developments on agile methodology established by the NA Medical Scientific Engagement team.

  • Identify new opportunities for leveraging data, insights, and analytics to enhance core capabilities across Medical teams.

Medical Operations (25%)

  • Oversee strategic budget management, including forecasting, tracking progress, and implementing reconciliation and reporting processes.

  • Working with SBO team, project manage and execute the franchise congress activity plan and other aligned activities.

  • Lead the procurement-to-payment process, contracting, and tiering strategies, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

Internal Collaboration/Communication (15%)

  • Act as SBO Liaison, ensuring strong connection, clear expectations, and delivery on commitment, and movement of repetitive and tactical work to SBO team.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure metrics are aligned with business priorities.

  • Develop comprehensive documentation, tutorials, and user guides to facilitate adoption and utilization of analytical tools and models.

  • Establish quarterly updates for key internal stakeholders to showcase progress/outcomes against strategic imperatives.

  • Represent the Medical team in matters of internal operational excellence task forces.

  • Liaise with North American Medical operations colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure successful development and execution of Medical initiatives.

About You

Requirements

Education/Experience/Certification

Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced Science Degree or MBA in a related field (e.g., Medical field, vaccine field healthcare finance, etc.)

  • Knowledge/experience and/or degree in Medical field, vaccine field and/or healthcare

  • 1+ year experience in Pharmaceutical Industry

  • Occasional travel within North America

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vaccines experience

  • Project management experience in Medical Affairs

The salary range for this position is:

$108,900.00 - $157,300.00

All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
