About the job

Strategic context:

· Sanofi is implementing an ambitious plan called “DRIVE” complementing our Play to Win Strategy with 3 main objectives (i) keep fuelling our pipeline (ii) make Sanofi a modern science-driven healthcare company (iii) serving our patients.

· In this context, Sanofi made the decision to evolve its commercial model from GBU-specific country organisations to a more standardized and consistent approach, boosting efficiency.

· The focus will be on (i) Key Markets and most innovative products as major drivers for growth and (ii) a cross-GBUs efficiency model with optimised country set-up.

Main responsibilities:

Partner Engagement & Decision-Making

Lead partner engagement; as the primary point of contact for partner interactions, strive for a win-win relationship, ensuring partner is aligned with company priorities and partner’s needs are adequately discussed and addressed by Sanofi.

Own decision-making regarding engagement with the partner based on business needs, strategic priorities, and operational feasibility. Champion partner proposals that will benefit the business and challenge partner proposals where necessary to better achieve business objectives; then get internal approval.

Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within the partner organization to foster mutually beneficial collaborations.

Operational Execution & Performance Leadership

Lead and manage key operational and contractual discussions, ensuring structured governance.

Streamline internal processes to enhance execution, eliminating inefficiencies in forecasting, reporting, and communication. Identify and initiate improvements to ensure seamless collaboration between internal teams and external partners

Oversee partner performance, ensuring clear accountability and tracking key business metrics.

Contract & Business Performance Management of Partner, Cross-Functional Alignment & Internal Collaboration

Act as a liaison between partner and internal teams (Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial) to drive operational efficiency.

Provide strategic recommendations based on insights from market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and partner interactions.

Strategic Business Planning & Market Shaping

Support the evolution of the partnership model by identifying growth opportunities and mitigating risks.

Develop structured plans to improve partner engagement, ensuring strategic alignment with evolving market needs.

Shape value positioning and collaborate with senior leadership to enhance the company’s long-term strategy.

Role challenges in 2024-2025 (Strategic Planning Period)

· Integrate specific points related to the ongoing market challenges, competition, launches, authorities challenges, etc

· Adopt ditigal transformation and Agile methodology (e.g. Leveraging data and AI) to accelerate & scale-up new operating models

· Successfully adapt / evolve ways of working while delivering business results / avoiding business disruption.

· Champion glocal and transversal ways of working by fully leveraging centralised and standardized Sanofi frameworks (e.g., GTMC, MCO teams..)

· Ensure full alignment with MCO strategies, and foster seamless collaboration with MCO teams

About you

Main requirements:

  • Education Background: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or any related field 5-10 years of experience; MBA or PGDM degree from a reputed institution

  • Pharmaceutical Industry Understanding: Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry’s regulatory environment, market dynamics and customer engagement

  • Stakeholder relationship management experience

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English

  • Role model of PTW behaviours.

Work Experience:

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful partner engagement strategies that have significantly improved alliance performance and partnership satisfaction

  • Extensive experience in leading alliance management initiatives within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector, including delivering exceptional partner relationships and deep understanding of governance frameworks

  • Hands-on experience in leading digital transformation projects that enhanced partner collaboration through data analytics and streamlined reporting systems

  • Effectively led cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Regulatory, Finance, and Commercial functions to drive operational efficiency in partner engagements

  • Demonstrated experience ensuring all alliance activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations and ethical standards across multiple markets

  • Successfully managed complex partnership projects using Agile methodologies, resulting in improved decision-making and faster implementation of strategic initiatives

· Implemented innovative approaches to understand partner needs, enhancing collaboration satisfaction and long-term relationship stability
