Sanofi is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Global Head of Neurology Research. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for driving the global research strategy and overseeing the advancement of innovative research programs in the field of neurology. Your primary focus will be on advancing Sanofi’s neurology research portfolio with the aim of addressing unmet medical needs in diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative and neurological disorders. Main Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the strategic direction of Sanofi’s global neurology research efforts, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and the delivery of impactful therapeutic innovations.
Provide leadership and direction to a highly talented and multidisciplinary team of scientists, researchers, and collaborators across global research centers.
Develop and execute the research portfolio in neurology, from discovery through preclinical stages, ensuring a robust pipeline of novel drug candidates.
Foster innovation through partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and biotech companies to advance cutting-edge neurology research.
Ensure integration of the latest scientific advancements in neurology into Sanofi's research programs and maintain a competitive edge in the therapeutic area.
Oversee the effective use of resources, including budget management, talent acquisition, and team development, ensuring high performance within the neurology research function.
Champion a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and scientific excellence across global research teams.
Engage with key opinion leaders, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to maintain Sanofi’s leadership position in neurology research and development.
Present progress and key findings to senior leadership, shareholders, and other external stakeholders, highlighting the impact of neurology research on the company’s overall strategy and success.
Maintain a deep understanding of the scientific landscape in neurology, including emerging trends and novel technologies, to inform Sanofi’s research approach and future opportunities.
About You
Qualifications:
PhD, MD, or equivalent in Neuroscience, Neurobiology, or a related field with a strong research background in neurology is required
Minimum of 15 years of experience in neuroscience research, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role within the biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is required
Extensive experience in leading global research teams and managing complex, cross-functional projects within neurology is required
Proven track record of successfully advancing neurology research from discovery to preclinical development, with multiple published contributions in the field.
Strong understanding of the scientific, regulatory, and market dynamics within the neurology space.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and lead multidisciplinary teams in a global setting.
A deep passion for innovation in neurology and a commitment to improving the lives of patients with neurological disorders.
This position may require up to 50% overall travel (inclusive of conferences and industry events)

The salary range for this position is:
$312,800.00 - $417,066.66All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
