Our Team:
The role is part of a high performing team centered on Finance transformation and becoming a best-in-class Finance organization.
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide controlling support to their local Business Units, including preparation of budgets and forecasts (Budget / F1 / F2 / Quarterly Landings / Rolling Forecast), monthly closings (sales & expense reviews, scorecards), project approval and tracking, and other financial planning & analysis activities on a timely basis.
As part of the Finance Operations and Transformation team, there will be many opportunities to improve processes and improve collaboration with your Finance partners and business partners to grow and demonstrate your analytical and interpersonal abilities.
This person will help to identify and implement new ways of working as we transform the way Sanofi
Controls Sales, Industrial Costing, Opex & CAPEX.
Main responsibilities:
- Position may be responsible for operational controlling activities for Globalized Functionsg and or operating/capital expenses
- Partner closely with Finance Business Partners across GBUs, to provide cohesive and seamless support to Business Leaders
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing and share monthly results with Finance Business Partners as well as Budget Owners
- Prepare monthly commentary to explain variances between actual results and/or budget and forecasts
- Ensure business owners are executing the budgeted plan, including tracking actuals, approval of projects & providing direction to business owners
- Develop Opex and headcount forecasts for designated areas, in partnership with FBPs and Budget Owners
- Oversee and ensure opening and closing of projects as well as the timely capitalization beside compliance with Sanofi methods and procedure regarding Asset Management
- Ensure Standard Cost are calculated, POV analyses are followed, and manufacturing performance monitored
- Identify risks and opportunities that affect the achievement of these forecasts
- Track headcount on a monthly basis and compare to budgeted and forecasted vacancy rates, including trend analysis for key drivers of change
- Track all assumptions built into budget and forecasts
- Approve project spend and ensuring projects are budgeted properly, challenging where necessary
- Continuously challenge legacy ways of working, status quo; identify gaps, and recommend new ways of working
- Increase Financial and business acumen
- Ensure compliance with pertinent SOX controls
- Ensure compliance with all internal control requirements
- Promote efficiencies and improved ways of working across designated region and ensure best practice sharing
- Educate client groups on all aspects of financial policies and processes to ensure compliance
- Support all key Finance initiatives
- Ad hoc projects and analyses as required
About you
Experience:
- 3+ years of diversified financial controlling experience
Soft skills:
- Demonstrated results building partnerships with multi-levels across businesses required.
- Must have the ability to influence and shape business decisions.
- Must have high attention to detail, quality and proven ability to operate effectively under pressure and strict deadlines
- Ability to lead through influence including demonstrated facilitator skills
- Strong organization skills: ability to track and manage a high volume of projects at a detailed level
- Ability to develop a rapport and credibility with key stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively across international work streams
- Demonstrated organization savvy and self- awareness

Technical skills:
- Advanced excel skills
- Must be able to download data and use pivot tables, V-look ups, macros, etc.
- Demonstrated experience modeling ethical behavior in challenging situations required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and strategic thinking
- Proven experience working across multiple internal stakeholders
- Technology savvy, business orientation, and agile learning abilities required
- Capable of working in multiple systems and tools
- Solid grasp of evolving Sanofi technology platforms, processes, and controls including SAGA
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
Preferred:
- MBA and/or CPA
- Pharmaceutical and public accounting experience
- Commercial Finance and Gross to Net
- TM1 and SAP experience

The Data Analytics Lead plays a key role in designing and deploying standardized processes and governance rules within the Core Model, with a global scope covering all Sanofi countries, GBUs, and Global Functions.
Key areas of involvement include Core Model Design & Data Governance, Process Improvement & Optimization, Data Quality Management and Team Leadership.
This role requires close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, including Finance Business Partners (FBPs), Regional and Global Finance Operations, the Finance Transformation Engine, CFOs, GBUs, and Global Business Process Owners. The goal is to ensure strong alignment and full adherence to the target operating model across all teams and regions.

Main responsibilities:
Core Model Strategy & Governance: Support the design and implementation of the controlling Core Model strategy, ensuring alignment with Finance Transformation and Operations teams globally.
Stakeholder Alignment & Collaboration: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (FBP, Finance Ops, A2R, Digital, etc.) to ensure unified understanding and execution of standardized processes.
Process Improvement & Innovation: Identify improvement opportunities, propose innovative solutions, and drive initiatives for simplification, automation, and operational excellence.
Standardization & Global Deployment: Collaborate in defining and deploying standardized finance processes, rules, and SOPs across regions and teams.
System Enhancements & Digital Integration: Work closely with the Digital team to manage system changes, ensure data integrity, and implement technology solutions aligned with the global design.
Data Quality & Controls: Develop and implement data governance practices, quality checks, and resolution processes to ensure accuracy of financial data (especially full P&L).
Project & Risk Management; Lead or support project planning, business case development, risk assessment, and change management to ensure successful delivery of enhancements.
Team Leadership & Development; Lead the Data Analytics team, foster a collaborative and learning-focused culture, manage talent onboarding and retention, and maintain strong interfaces with other finance teams.
About you
Experience:
Demonstrate a good track record in controlling and / or accounting and financial reporting preferably in a Pharmaceutical / Consumer Products industry
Proven experience in an Analytic COE type organization
Proven experience in Business partnering role
Experience translating business needs into process and implementation requirements at Finance system project implementation environment
Soft and technical skills:
Deep understanding of controls, master data and systems flows
Significant experience in controlling
Very good knowledge of controlling and reporting processes (end to end view) as well as the main tools being used in the Group (SAP, TM1, or other forecasting tools)
Ability to work in matrix environments (scope / interactions / numerous stakeholders)
Analytical, process-oriented with a keen interest to drive continuous improvements
Ability to work out of comfort zone, can-do attitude
Strong ability to train and teach/coach others
Team spirit, active listening
Honed interpersonal skills – ability to network and communicate with various functions, in a multi-country team setup
Languages:
Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
Education:
Master’s in finance, or science, or MBA, or IT preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting, or finance or engineering required
