About the job
As an experienced Bioimaging Associate Scientist, you will oversee designing, performing and optimizing in vivo imaging studies to characterize mRNA-LNP formulations and to decipher mode of actions.
Main responsibilities:
Design, perform and optimize in vivo imaging studies to characterize new vaccine candidates in adequate preclinical models. Creating and developing advanced in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo studies utilizing nucleic acid bio-analytics, and wide range of preclinical, cell biology and optical microscopy analysis
Especially use bioimaging tools to support mRNA and Lipid Nanoparticles process Development and Optimization. Coordinate the bioimaging activities, compile the analytical data package to support advancement of mRNA and other development candidates
Design and troubleshoot protein and molecular assays for use on in vitro and in vivo samples including: mammalian cell transfections, ELISA, functional antibody assays, flow cytometry, reporter assays, activity assays
Design and troubleshoot cell-based methods and immunoassay methods
Critically analyze, interpret, and report experimental results; draw appropriate conclusions and design next steps. Contribute to the protocol, report writing when appropriate including reports to include in Health Authorities dossiers
Work in highly collaborative cross functional teams. Make scientific presentation and report project progress in mRNA center of excellence team meetings in both languages, English and French
Ensure timely completion of assignments and deliverables
About you
Experience:
High experience in bioimaging and animal sciences
At least 3+ years in mRNA field and 10+ years of pharma/biotech
Skilled in bioimaging and ability to perform complex method, in vivo model development and propose appropriate method improvement
Experience in computerized tomography, bioluminescence and fluorescence imaging
Experience in optical imaging with IVIS Spectrum-CT, Cellvizio fibered Laser Endomicroscope and Kaer Imaging System. Able to use M3 Vision, Living Image, ICViewer, ImageJ/Fiji and KIScontrol softwares
Experience in pharmacology in vivo, Surgery models, Pathophysiology, Histology and Immunohistochemistry
Management of preclinical sample and collection (blood, serum, organs, etc.)
French License on animal experimentation in biology is mandatory: FELASA category B or C
Experience in working with biosafety level 2 and 3 constraints and Specific Pathogen Free animal facilities
Experience in mammalian cell culture and transfection, ELISA, functional antibody assays and flow cytometry would be really appreciated
Proven capability of evaluating/developing new technologies
Experienced working with highly technical projects with reactivity
Able to work independently and collaborate in team, enthusiastic and self-motivated
Languages:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or MSc/Engineer
