To facilitate this transformation, a new Business Operations Business Unit is being established, bringing together existing business service activities, and driving further expansion of centralized services at scale into a global unit, with a focus on driving simplification, efficiency, and productivity.
This new Business Unit will enable the delivery of best-in-class business support capabilities across the organization, incorporating and engaging disparate teams from across areas such as R&D, M&S, the Corporate Functions and GBUs into new global Service Delivery Towers with initial services spanning Commercial, Finance, Procurement and People & Culture.
Reporting to the Head of Service & Portfolio Management, the Service & Portfolio Management Specialist, plays a critical role in the development, execution, and transformation of Sanofi’s Procurement Services Strategies. This individual will partner closely with GPS leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and the OneProcurement community to lead strategic projects, identify improvement opportunities, support data-driven decision-making, and advance our continuous improvement and learning culture. The ideal candidate combines analytical strength, project management expertise, and stakeholder engagement skills to enable enterprise-wide value creation.
Main responsibilities:
- Strategic Data Analysis & Reporting: Lead the development and application of advanced analytics & visualization techniques to derive actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. Partner with the Insights & Productivity team to deliver routine & ad-hoc performance reporting that drivees accountability, strategic alignment and continuous improvement across GPS. Identify data-driven opportunities that shape business cases for transformation, support compliance enhancements and unlock operational efficiencies.
- Project Management & Delivery Excellence: Lead and support planning, execution and governance of high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across GPS service lines, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals, timelines and budgets. Drive structured project management practices including scope definition, milestone tracking, risk mitigation post-implementation reviews, enable best practice sharing across all GPS service lines. Manage and maintain a full portfolio view of active initiatives to enable transparent reporting, prioritization, and enterprise alignment while also identifying and tracking continuous improvement opportunities that enhance operational performance and value delivery.
- Process Optimization & Governance: Identify, design and implement process improvements to increase Tower efficiencies, reducing cycle times and enhancing compliance for the organization. Partner with functional experts and Digital partners to assess current state processes, identify gaps and implement best-in-class operations practices. Contribute and lead governance structures that ensuring consistent documentation, process ownership and accountability across GPS.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation Enablement: Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by leading root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions and measuring impact. Evaluate new tools, systems and practices that advance GPS’s digital and operational maturity. Benchmark internal performance and industry practices to inform GPS leadership of potential innovation investments and operational enhancements.
- Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as an advisory and liaison across multiple stakeholder groups including but not limited to Procurement, Finance, People & Culture, Digital and external partners. Facilitate stakeholder engagement and alignment across initiatives to ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities and value outcome. Serve as a change agent by establishing feedback loops and collaborate with the Transformation Office for continuous communication mechanisms that inform decision making and accelerate adoption of improvements. Develop high-quality presentation and updates to GPS leadership and cross-functional teams, promoting visibility for key initiatives.
- Ad-hoc Support: Provide hands-on support for strategic problem solving/strategic planning and business case development through data-driven recommendations. Lead or contribute to special projects requiring high agility, cross-functional collaboration and fast-cycle execution to deliver emerging opportunities.
About you
Experience and skills:
- 3-7 years of experience in analytics, process optimization, operations management, procurement or a similar role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective collaborator with strong trust-building, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Impact-oriented with strong analytical, structuring, problem-solving, and strategic capabilities to innovate, design and execute a plan.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- ·Ability to work in a matrixed international environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field.
Languages:
- Fluent in English
Preferred:
- Familiarity with procurement processes and industry-specific productivity metrics.
- Experience in the procurement or supply chain domain.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to leverage a natural intellectual curiosity.
