The selected candidate will join Sanofi's Manufacturing and Supply – Vaccines division as a Quality Control Virology intern at the Swiftwater facility, gaining valuable hands-on experience in vaccine testing processes while contributing to our mission of protecting global health. As a QC Virology Intern, the candidate will support our team in enhancing testing efficiency while receiving mentoring, coaching, and direct engagement with experienced professionals and developing practical skills in a regulated laboratory environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support efficiency initiatives within the QC Virology department and across testing labs.

  • Assist with metric tracking and cross-lab projects.

  • Learn and apply best practices to optimize laboratory processes.

  • Follow cGMPs and adhere to Sanofi policies and procedures.

  • Participate in team meetings and collaborative projects.

  • Perform laboratory maintenance including equipment cleaning and waste disposal.

  • Support inventory management and process improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with document revisions and other quality control documentation.

  • Help maintain laboratory safety and compliance standards.

  • Develop understanding of scientific principles behind processes, assays, and equipment.

About You

Education:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or related field, at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2028

  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi.

  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship.

  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must receive required vaccinations to be eligible for this position.

  • Knowledge of basic microbiological concepts and laboratory safety principles.

  • Good documentation practices and attention to detail.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Computer literacy and ability to learn technical systems.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Innovative mindset and willingness to learn.
