About the Role

As a Labor Relations Partner for Sanofi Japan, you will be responsible for managing labor relations activities, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and supporting the organization in maintaining positive employee relations. You will work closely with Japan People & Culture team as well as Global COE to implement effective labor strategies aligned with Sanofi's values and business objectives.

Main Accountabilities

• Lead and execute social dialogue processes in accordance with Japanese labor laws and company policies

• Provide expert guidance on labor relations matters to management and P&C teams

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with the labor union

• Support compensation cycle management and ensure compliance with local labor requirements

• Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements and labor contracts

• Manage employee grievances and disciplinary processes in compliance with local regulations

• Partner with business leaders to develop labor strategies that support organizational goals

• Stay current on Japanese labor laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance

• Support change management initiatives from a labor relations perspective

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Relations, Law, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in labor relations

• Strong knowledge of Japanese labor laws, regulations, and employment practices

• Experience in collective bargaining and managing relationships with labor unions

• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to communicate effectively in both Japanese and English

• Experience working in multinational organizations preferred
