Role: Value & Access Manager Pharma COPAC

About the Role

The Value & Access Manager Pharma COPAC manages the timely and comprehensive access of Sanofi therapies within the Colombian healthcare system through the management of assigned ecosystems (insurers, providers, and pharmaceutical managers). Responsible for delivering the product value proposition and other health value solutions to payers. Accountable for the ongoing development, refinement and execution of local payer strategy, plans and tactics for the Sanofi Pharma Portfolio products throughout the lifecycle. Ensures alignment with local Market Access functions and cross-functional local teams to build and adapt successful access strategies and tools for the benefit of Sanofi. Is responsible for the development of the Market Access Blueprint at the affiliate level (adapting the Global Market Access Blueprint to local needs). As a result, also accountable for sales management within the defined clients of these ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

  • Key strategic and leadership role in local brand teams and strategic brand planning to identify and define payer value proposition for portfolio
  • Coordinates the access strategy with commercial partner functions, Global MAx function and MAx region and the complete Brand Team, to ensure consistent value story and tools are in place in a timely manner
  • Provides input into product forecasts, including strategic, operational and financial forecasting and works closely with local pricing to implement global pricing guidance and potential innovative contracting tools.
  • Develops & coordinates timely roll-out of deliverables (Value dossiers, economic models, payer engagement activities): Works closely with HEVA and Pricing, to support the definition and development of primary and secondary research and projects in support of access. These include health economic modelling, epidemiology, patient outcomes, payer environment, competitor data/intelligence and any other factor that may inform and guide local market access pricing and commercialization strategies
  • Maintains a high level of knowledge with regard to the scientific, clinical and commercial developments in the therapeutic area/portfolio.
  • Develops and maintains a robust understanding of relevant pricing and reimbursement criteria used by payers to make informed decisions about payer strategy, plans and tactics
  • Works closely and transversally with marketing, medical, PA, KAMs, KADs and salesforce to create and implement the access strategy
  • Design and implement a contracting strategy where applicable to secure the introduction of the specific assets

About you

  • Experience: In-depth understanding of payers and their perspective as well as trends in Pricing & Reimbursement. Has an established and extensive network of payer contacts (pricing, reimbursement, policy, insurance) and competitive intelligence to identify early opportunities and threats in the market and creates solutions to benefit from opportunities and disarm threats. Has ability to identify key product advantages in the context of market requirements and provides key ideas for developing individual value stories around Sanofi’s products. Can develop a clear understanding of the company’s financial goals, with a clear ability to prioritize, setting up timelines with an excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment - contributing creative ideas and positive energy to the group.
  • Soft Skills: This position requires strong strategic and leadership skills as well as analytical skills to translate clinical information and messages into payer access strategies. It also requires strong communication-influence skills and the ability to work well in a cross-functional team with an important focus in business results.
  • Hard Skills: Experience in pharmaceutical industry gained thorough knowledge about government’s structure and public policies, institutional market, health economics concepts and their applicability. It is desirable to have experience as payer role, such as management positions at Government, HMOs or Healthcare organizations.
  • Educación: Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Medicine, Marketing, Pharmacy. Graduate degree in public health, health management, and epidemiology or health economics..
  • Idiomas: High level of English: Written & Spoken
