In this role, you'll join the Engineering & Projects team at our Swiftwater site. You will be responsible for managing Tier III and infrastructure projects capital projects. (approx. 0M to $5M SPE value) The main focus of Tier III projects will be in the Formulation, Filling, Inspection, and Packaging (FFIP) business units.

In addition to technical competence, this position requires the ability to work well in a cross-functional team to accomplish the best technical solution that also considers compliance, safety, operability and maintainability and project constraints.

As the lead of the Process Mechanical Engineering team, you and your team will be technical leaders who know their assigned equipment and processes and are passionate about collaboration and problem-solving. You will seek to grow Sanofi’s capability by delivering and supporting process equipment that is optimally suited for the end user.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide capital project studies input including leading each stage gate review, supporting site and M&S decision making process

  • End-to-end capital project delivery for projects up to €5M including initiation, design, execution, C&Q, handover, & close-out.

  • Monthly capital project reporting on all project KPIs for safety, cost, schedule and resources.

  • Adherence to all mandatory Sanofi and local & regulatory compliance standards and policies including construction safety GMRs, Planet Care standards, GMP, and FDA regulations/standards.

  • Foster a safety first, quality always culture throughout the project implementing SMS 2.0 and TRT ways of working.

  • Ensure staffing of all engineering project resources and align cross-function strategic workforce plan to delivery projects

  • Lead and support project sourcing and 3rd contractor & supplier management

  • Project Construction Safety – LTIR, TRIR, & SORR

  • Project Financials – TPC (Capex & Opex) & yearly cashflow vs. budget

  • Commissioning & Qualification (CQ) completion rate

  • Deviations and discards due to equipment issues

About You

Education & Experience & Certifications

Expected Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in an engineering or maintenance environment, with a solid understanding of project management.

  • Pharmaceutical experience minimum of 5 years

  • Project management of safety, budgets, schedules, resources, and risks for projects up to €5M. PMI PMP designation preferred.

  • Experience in Formulation, Filling, Inspection, and Packaging (FFIP) preferred

  • In depth equipment knowledge and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience in equipment commissioning and startup

  • Strong People Management skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams in a matrix environment

  • Knowledge of building standards, GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) regulatory requirements for manufacturing, and CQ activities.

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science, Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent.

Languages:

  • English: Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

The salary range for this position is:

$122,250.00 - $176,583.33
