Department Description:

The Bioanalytics Characterization group, within the Global CMC Development organization in Framingham MA, is a multi-disciplinary team providing comprehensive characterization support throughout biologics product development using state of the art analytical methods and tools.

Main Responsibilities:

This position will focus on the following key objectives:

  • Collaborate with teams to design, execute and optimize stress studies supporting both early and late-stage programs for Mabs (including multi-specific formats).

  • Serve as representative for the characterization group to coordinate projects with ATL (analytical team lead).

  • Perform product characterization work from early to late-stage development, collaborating on structure/function studies with team members and cross-functional groups.

  • Develop and evaluate binding assays using Biacore-SPR (surface plasmon resonance) technology to support formulation, developability and comparability studies while actively participating in the cross-functional team discussions.

  • Author electronic lab notebook, technical documentation including reports, study protocols, and scientific publications; deliver presentations at internal and external conferences

  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments with expertise.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ph.D., in a scientific field with life science experience; or a master’s degree with 4+ years of industry experience; or bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of industry experience.

  • A degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific degree is preferred.

  • Demonstrated expertise and proven track record and in-depth knowledge of label-free binding technologies such as SPR for protein binding.

  • Hands-on experience in SPR, HPLC, and UPLC proteins analysis, plus experience in one or more of the following: isoelectric focusing, CE-SDS analysis, glycan analysis, biophysical methods, or high-throughput analytical platforms.

The salary range for this position is:

$100,500.00 - $145,166.66
