As an mRNA Sr. Associate Scientist in Analytical Sciences, you will ensure laboratory activities in support of process development and industrialization and ensure the characterizations of mRNA vaccines in development.

Main Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of new analytical methods for mRNA products in collaboration with the scientists of the team.
Participate in qualification and transferring of analytical methods.
Perform analytical testing in the lab, data analysis, and related document writing with a critical look at the relevance of the results.
Develop and write work plans/protocols.
Summarize and communicate the progress of your work.
Participate in laboratory automation to set up high-throughput analyses.
Accompany and train newcomers in analytical technologies and methods.
Participate in laboratory organization activities (orders, management/maintenance of equipment, reception & verification of reagents and receipt of samples).
Participate in or lead analytical working groups.
Participate in GMP and non-GMP lab set up and continuous improvement of laboratory safety and quality compliance.
Perform GMP sample collection, analysis, and data verification.
Compliant in Sanofi Quality standards and HSE policy. Participate in continuous improvement of laboratory safety and quality compliance.
About You
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology or equivalent.
- BS with 5+ years or MS with 2+ years of professional experience in the vaccine or pharmaceutical industry in the field of Research & Development and Quality Control analytics.
- 2 years of hands-on experience on physicochemical and biochemical analytical techniques including but not limited to UPLC/HPLC coupled with UV detection, CAD, MS; DLS; DSC, others.).
- Practical lab experience and data analysis skills of analytical techniques used for the expression test are required, including MS, Flow-Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot.
- Proficiency with different analytical software (Empower, Chromeleon, XCalibur, OpenLab) is required.
- Hands-on experience with lipid analysis and de-formulation is desired.
- Hands-on experience with assay automation is desired.
- Hands-on experience performing basic maintenance of high-resolution mass spectrometers is desired.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team to complete assignments within defined time constraints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Essential qualities include ability to work in a fast paced, matrix environment; agility to respond to urgent requests, and initiative to lead new tasks.
- Ability to work full time onsite in an analytical lab environment.

The salary range for this position is:
$73,500.00 - $106,166.66All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
