As a People Excellence CoE Specialist within our People Excellence CoE Canada team, you’ll work as a partner on behalf of the global/local COEs to execute and support initiatives in Canada.

The PE COE Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting various activities within the People Excellence COE Canada. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment. The role involves close collaboration with internal People & Culture teams (COE Partners, and SBS HR Services (HRS)) and plays a crucial part in maintaining high standards of P&C service delivery to deliver foundational HR excellence and enhance employee experience through employee-centered initiatives, core HR processes, and enabling self-service.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Supports the execution of global/local COE initiatives and processes.

  • Ensures solutions are implemented and executed aligned with the People & Culture Operating Model

  • Leads the application process for various external recognition awards (such as Gender Parity certification, Top employer, and other surveys as appropriate) for all legal entities.

  • Responsible for operationalizing COE initiatives through enterprise-wide implementation plan, tools, and templates

  • Leads and manages People & Culture projects

  • Manages on-going dialogue and updates of COE content with One Support through self-service and captive center scripts

  • Oversees legislative changes and develops practical solutions and action plans, including supporting the creation or update of policies as needed.

  • Sponsors continuous improvement through feedback loops and process improvement initiatives with People Excellence, People Business Partners, and HRS.

  • Serves as the Tier 2 escalation in Service Now (SNOW)

  • Supports data integrity and accuracy

  • Manages escalations related to background checks by coordinating with third-party vendors and ensuring timely, accurate resolution in support of Talent Acquisition.

  • Provides administrative and operational support for People & Culture and COE activities when required.

About You

  • The position requires a bachelor’s degree

  • A minimum of three years prior experience in HR generalist/analyst/specialist and working knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures and operational pull through of HR initiatives.

    • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in both French and English an asset

  • Ability to work independently and take-action.

  • Ability to take initiative, demonstrate a sense of urgency and flex in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Project management experience is a plus.

The salary range for this position is:

$67,100.00 - $96,900.00

All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
