About the job

As a Pharmacovigilance Industrial Student Placement within the UK/IE Pharmacovigilance team, you will play a key role in supporting patient safety through technical and administrative assistance. This placement offers valuable hands-on experience in managing safety data, documentation, and compliance activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of safety and regulatory adherence, contributing directly to the efficient operation of Sanofi's pharmacovigilance system.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support daily processing of safety reports and maintain accurate documentation within required timelines.
  • Help monitor and manage the pharmacovigilance inbox, including case follow-ups and quality checks.
  • Assist with monthly data reconciliation and track team training records.
  • Provide administrative support through filing, document management, and meeting coordination.
  • Help maintain inspection-ready documentation in both electronic and paper formats.
  • Support communication between various teams and external partners under team guidance.
  • Contribute to team projects while learning about safety regulations and pharmaceutical industry standards.

About you

To excel in this role you will need to have:

  • Pursuing a degree in a scientific or medical discipline such as medicine, biology, chemistry, biomedical sciences, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills
  • Willingness to learn, adapt to changing priorities, and receive feedback
  • Basic skills in data handling, including working with documents, spreadsheets, or databases

Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Familiarity with Power BI or other digital tools
  • Interest in patient safety or pharmacovigilance
  • Experience in a fast-paced office environment
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Awareness of emerging digital systems or platforms
