The US Field Medical Director, RSV Franchise will contribute to development and execution of the medical and scientific (non-promotional) strategy for the franchise portfolio in the US. This individual will be accountable for the medical plan within their defined franchise and scope including the medical plan, data generation, scientific exchange, and stakeholder engagement.

Main Responsibilities:
The US Field Medical Director will contribute to development and execution of the medical and scientific strategy for their franchise in the US. This is a field role and will be focused on external engagement.
External Stakeholder Engagement (60%)
Lead the development and execution of Medical external engagement strategy and tactics for the 1) Franchise country medical road map, and 2) the regional medical road maps
Act as a scientific subject matter expert and continuously maintain a world class competency in the field
Responsible for establishing and fostering strategic relationships with the most critical external key opinion leaders (KOLs), professional societies, immunization advisory bodies, and patient advocacy groups
Utilize advanced scientific expertise to support quality decision making with external groups that decide on immunization policy nationally, and at the level of strategic accounts (health systems, pharmacy chains, public health units, etc.)
Collaborate closely with Medical Regional Strategic Account Directors and Medical Science Liaisons during external engagement by providing deeper scientific expertise on Franchise specific products
Data Generation (15%)
Be a contributor to the global franchise integrated Evidence Generation Plan (iEGP)
Discuss the iEGP strategy with external experts seeking external validation and insights
Foster collaboration with external partners to serve the iEGP approved research goals
Collaborate with both global Medical and R&D to conduct epidemiological studies and clinical trials in the US
Strategy (15%)
Lead the development and execution of external Medical engagement strategy and tactics for the Franchise.
Act as a country Medical expert for strategic and tactical planning for the franchise.
Internal Collaboration/Communication (10%)
Provide scientific expertise to internal stakeholders
Provide training to field-based medical team on all current and new publications and related assets in collaboration with NA Training Lead.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
Advanced degree (MD, PhD or PharmD) in scientific, healthcare or medical field of study
10+ years of professional experience in immunology, infectious diseases, and/or vaccinology in either pharmaceutical, biotechnology or academic settings
Relevant clinical experience or track record of peer reviewed publications in the US
Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in an external stakeholder facing role (i.e., governmental collaboration)
Recognized by other vaccine experts as being expert in vaccinology or a related discipline

The salary range for this position is:
$201,000.00 - $290,333.33All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
