Immunology is the therapeutic area that drives Sanofi Specialty Care’s growth. The primary purpose of immunology is to develop and commercialize innovative therapies in patients with chronic inflammatory diseases on an immune-based basis.

The Italian Immunology Franchise is currently engaged in the field of dermatology, allergic and respiratory conditions including severe asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis, COPD and gastrointestinal such as eosinophilic esophagitis and several others. The drug currently on the market, DUPIXENT (Dupilumab) is a monoclonal antibody that interferes with the activity of interleukins 4 and 13, key drivers of Type II Inflammation.

Dupixent since 2021 is Sanofi’s first product for sales results, both globally and in Italy, representing the company’s primary growth driver.

There have been many areas of Dupixent development over the years, in conditions supported by type II inflammation, leading the drug to have 6 EMA approved indications and numerous indication extensions to other age groups, reinforcing the focus of this product in the Sanofi portfolio.

The position, reporting directly to the Immunology Franchise Head, is responsible for the related therapeutic area marketing and commercial teams, coordinating marketing, budgeting and promotional activities for current and future indications of DUPIXENT as well as future portfolio products within the Franchise. Is responsible for the business results of the area, by acting in line with Play to Win behaviors and the highest quality standards, in compliance with applicable laws and professional ethics.

In addition, the role needs to ensure optimal team management, through maintaining a high level of engagement and professional development of managed resources, enhancement of Sanofi image and brand, and integrated management of all marketing, sales, and cross-functional channels, in alignment with local and Corporate company objectives and strategy.

Main responsibilities:

· Lead and engage the team towards common objectives, attracting and developing talents;

· Ability to work and appropriately coordinate cross-functional teams, in partnership with all company functions that work closely to the successes of the Franchise products;

· Build a successful marketing and sales plan for Italy, in line with the Global plan and strategic objectives, through the involvement of the team, deep product knowledge, careful analysis of the market and key players, as well as appropriate assessment of possible opportunities and risks;

· Effective and careful management of available economic resources, through identification of best opportunities, based on real business needs, internal rules and current laws;

· Definition of sales and spending forecasts, implementing any corrective actions aimed at exceeding assigned objectives;

· Coordination and monitoring of all marketing and communication activities implementation, with a focus on integrated use of new technologies in line with omnichannel strategies;

· Creation and execution of launch plans for products/indications not yet on the market, through the coordination of the entire cross-functional team.

About you

  • Experience: Multiple years of Marketing experience including launch, access strategies and team management; Established Sales experience and resource management; Experience of close collaboration with international team, both in strategy building, local implementation and performance review.

  • Soft and technical skills: Demonstrated leadership in complex Marketing and Sales teams, ability to create and maintain a positive, proactive and inclusive environment, with focus on people development and coaching activities; Strong attitude for cross-functional work, listening, problem solving, and continuous improvement; Ability to lead by using situational leadership, personal accountability and thoughtful risk taking; Strategic vision, negotiation skills and influence; Ability to analyze complex and heterogeneous data, coupled with summary skills; Excellent standing and communication skills in every context; Excellent knowledge of Italian hospital pharmaceutical context and reimbursement process.

  • Education: Degree in Economics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or similar.

  • Languages: Fluent in Italian and English.
