Cardiometabolic Head of Commercial – Gulf (Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, UAE, Qatar)

The Gulf Cardiometabolic Commercial Head (Kuwait, Bahrein, Oman, UAE, Qatar) will lead and develop the commercial team, driving the strategy and operations for the Gulf region to deliver on commercial objectives, including sales growth, market penetration, and market share expansion across all channels in the cardiometabolic Franchise.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Provide strong leadership and people management support to the multi-country team across the Gulf region (Kuwait, Bahrein, Oman, UAE, Qatar).
Manage team performance, addressing both good and poor performance to drive a strong Performance Culture.
Lead, motivate, and coach the regional sales teams to improve performance and implement remedial plans where necessary.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement the regional business plan and sales strategy to achieve company sales and profitability goals in the cardiometabolic area across Gulf countries.
Implement harmonized sales structures, planning, and control systems across multiple Gulf markets.
Business Development and Growth:
Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the business through regional partnerships or new initiatives.
Support pre-launch and launch activities of new products across Gulf countries, working closely with Marketing and Medical teams.
Develop the customer roadmap to achieve medium and long-term business growth objectives throughout the Gulf region.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong business partnerships with key stakeholders in all accounts across Gulf countries.
Liaise with Marketing and national accounts to ensure field sales activities are complementary across the region.
Participate in the preparation of overall regional sales strategies and annual business plans.
Performance Analysis and Optimization:
Regularly analyze sales performance across Gulf markets and design appropriate corrective actions.
Ensure coordination of all activities (calls, marketing activities, grants, congresses, invitations, visits) across the Gulf region.
Track sales execution across public and private markets as per contracts in all Gulf countries.
Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure implementation of internal procedures, policies, and best practices across the Gulf region.
Manage judicious use of A&P budget to maximize business impact across multiple markets.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience including indirect team management.
Extensive Kuwait and other Gulf countries experience with demonstrated success across multiple countries in the region.
Strong understanding of the Gulf healthcare markets and regulatory environments.
Demonstrated strong ethics and business integrity mindset with commitment to compliance and ethical business practices
Proven track record in implementation of marketing strategy in partnership with cross-functional teams.
