Our Team:
The eCommerce Lead Technical Engineer is part of the Sanofi Digital eCommerce Product team which is responsible for end-to-end ownership of our Global B2B eCommerce product line, serving global business needs for commercial and trade organizations across Sanofi.
The eCommerce Lead Technical Engineer is an integral part of our global eCommerce SW engineering team, powering solutions to deliver maximum business value, with high traffic, great web performance, stability, compliance, scalability and cost optimization. She/He contributes to the success of Sanofi’s strategic eCommerce solutions and Sanofi’s eCommerce presence.
The Lead Technical Engineer will deliver technical analysis and expertise for digital Technology solutions for Projects, Products or Solution within the eCommerce area. (S)He also leverages specialized, technical expertise for solving complex technical problems as an individual or as a team member.
The scope of responsibilities covers B2B eCommerce Solutions deployed globally within Sanofi.
(S)He leads and executes technical expertise all along the lifecycle (plan, design, build, run) of Digital Solutions or Digital Products belonging to his/her domain of expertise.
Main responsibilities:
Collaborate with Digital eCommerce Product Owners, SW engineering and Delivery team on strategies to support global Sanofi objectives via eCommerce solutions
Contributing to implementation of sustainable action plans
Accountable for releases impacting Global B2B eCommerce Platform (SAP Commerce) directly and via integrations with surrounding systems (such as CDN, Identity Provider, SAP ERP, etc.)
Responsible for integrations Global B2B eCommerce Platform is dependent upon with surrounding systems, and supporting those integrations from Global B2B eCommerce Platform, upon which other integrations are dependent
Accountable for monitoring of integrations and supporting technologies upon which critical processes of Global B2B eCommerce Platform is dependent. Akamai
Ensures together with Operations Lead or Product Owner that the eCommerce systems meet all controls to address evolving quality, regulatory (Data Privacy, GxP, SOX, etc.) and cybersecurity requirements.
Manage relationship with vendors by ensuring clear requirements, definitions of scope, and efficient process escalation (including contracting for, delivery, and support of Products, Projects, and Solutions for Global B2B eCommerce Platform Integration and Releases)
Support Digital eCommerce Operations for technical needs
Support DevOps to create a more streamlined and efficient development process
Support Automated testing environment and tests
Support Cybersecurity for preventative measures as well as any exposures
Support End to End Application performance monitoring
(S)He will ensure compliance with the architecture standards and guidelines and ensure the correct interface between applications under the scope of responsibility
Continuously seek for new technological opportunities for eCommerce while ensuring they properly fit Sanofi technological landscape, being aligned with eCommerce business strategy, product vision, and priorities. Collaborate with appropriate technical teams within Sanofi on any border or cross unit topics
Together with overall Digital eCommerce Delivery team, build robust ecosystem with vendors and internal Sanofi teams, to maintain and develop sustainable partnerships
Solution Technical / Functional expertise specific responsibilities for the scope of Integrations and Release:
Ensure End to End delivery in his/her area of expertise
Acts as Authority for his/her domain of technical expertise
Owns standards and practices related to his/her domain of technical expertise
Provides inputs for selection purpose and/or performance monitoring concerning Statement of Work (SOW) with vendors and subcontracting partners
Provides and guarantees a broad and strategic vision and understanding of a given domain of technical expertise particularly by conducting regular studies and watch campaigns
Owns training in his/her technical domain
Proposes total cost of ownership optimizations for his/her technical domain of expertise
Support Sanofi for audits and inspections involving computerized systems
Contributes actively to Operational excellence: Facilitating risk management and conducting/contributing to Problem root causes analysis
Ensure that the platform version is up to date to the necessary level to avoid being out of service
To be alert on SAP maintenances, inform the necessary teams about maintenance and if necessary, manage a change on SAP for exceptions
Participate on SAP forums and be aware of news on products that can impact Sanofi eCommerce
About you
She/He will have knowledge and experience in:
Proven track record in leading engineering teams, guiding projects from inception to successful implementation
SAP e-commerce or SAP Commerce Cloud, and integration with other systems
Software development principles and lifecycle, web development technologies / frameworks
Experience with major integration point between Web based user interface and back-end processes such as Order Management, Warehouse Management, Financial, Retail Systems, ERP, payment services or CRM
Integration and monitoring technologies (SAP CPI, Tibco, Informatica Cloud, Layer 7, Dynatrace, Splunk, DataDog, etc)
Systems architecture and applied understanding of software development principles and lifecycle, web development technologies / frameworks, APIs, and common web technologies essential to building seamless multi-channel experiences
Experience with SAP ECC, S/4 HANA integration to eCommerce for Order process is mandatory, experience with OpenAR and Payments integration is a plus
Experience with monitoring and observability technology, especially DynaTrace, Splunk, and/or DataDog
Infrastructure Engineering, especially in a cloud or hybrid environment
