The Head of Portfolio Operations for Sanofi Specialty Care Canada reports directly to the General Manager and Canada Country Lead, driving strategic projects and managing critical operational aspects including Canada Country Council Meetings, SPC Leadership Team Meetings, Take The Lead Culture Initiatives, key internal events (POA Meetings, …)and key organizational initiatives (local site evolution, Inclusion Council, CSR strategy…).
This role demands a motivated, engaging leader with strong influence and problem-solving abilities who serves as a trusted strategic partner to the SPC GM, supporting daily operations and leadership team needs. The ideal candidate excels in collaboration and communication, demonstrates analytical thinking with exceptional listening and diagnostic skills, and has a proven track record of reliability, trustworthiness, and execution—serving as an instrumental stakeholder to the SPC Leadership team and Canada Country Council in achieving their objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
The person in the role will serve as the GM Specialty Care Canada primary strategic liaison with members of the Canada Country Council, Specialty Care Canada Leadership Team and the cross functional teams of Medical Affairs, MA/PA, Finance, P&C, Digital, GTMC, AI CoE, M&S & Toronto Site Teams to complete the projects assigned. In addition to the types of activities below, special projects will be added regularly based upon the evolving priorities of the Sanofi Canada and Sanofi Specialty Care business.
Ensure alignment and execution of the Canada Country Council key initiatives and support the CCC in their operations (managing meetings, connecting with other functions, prioritizing topics and proactively highlight topics where their awareness is needed).
Ensure execution of the overall commercial strategy for Sanofi Specialty Care Canada. Responsible for prioritization, coordination and project management for commercial activities; ensures knowledge sharing and alignment, whether GBU or brand specific, cross-brand or phasing of project across teams. Support the GM and Canada Country Lead by regularly reviewing business updates and highlight potential issues.
Ensure that Canada has strong connection with North America/US counterparts and especially with the head of portfolio operations NA. Assist and partner across Sanofi Canada and across Sanofi Specialty Care to support emerging business priorities.
Proactively highlight potential business issues to the GM & Country Lead and support him in addressing them. Coordinate with other groups as necessary.
Work closely with Sanofi and Sanofi Specialty Care Communications in coordinating and gaining alignment for critical communication events/activities such as internal communications, Town Hall meetings, external engagements and other employee face to face meetings for the team.
Work closely with the Executive Assistant of BU with GM availability prioritization, preparations for meetings (either internal or external).
About You
Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field is required - MBA or PhD is preferred - Scientific knowledge required
3-5 years of professional business experience is required - Specialty therapeutic area experience is preferred
Commercial effectiveness and/or project management experience preferred
Must have excellent analytical, strategic thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams without direct line authority and managing within a matrix.
Computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point and Microsoft project) and AI tools awareness/knowledge.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required, with English/French bilingualism a plus
This position may require up to 20% overall business travel

The salary range for this position is:
$105,200.00 - $151,933.33All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
