About the Job

The Order to Cash - Sales Orders Team Lead supervises a team of 8-15 FTEs delivering sales order management services within Business Operations O2C. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery while monitoring key performance indicators such as order cycle time, delivery lead time, zero touch order rate, orders per FTE, and incomplete sales orders. The Team Lead addresses operational issues promptly, manages both internal and external stakeholders, coaches Sales Order Analysts, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall process efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sales order management services in line with SLAs ensuring positive customer experience

  • Capture customer orders accurately and efficiently into the ERP system

  • Oversee customer order administration from order taking to invoicing and organize local and hub interaction for flawless execution and customer stock management

  • Monitor operational KPIs and compliance with Sanofi policies and guidelines

  • Analyze and identify deviations compared to agreed targets

  • Develop remediation action plans in coordination with Sales Order Manager and stakeholders, and address operational issues effectively and timely

  • Coach and share expertise with Sales Order Analysts while anticipating workload and allocating resources for effective delivery

  • Manage employee lifecycle (recruit, evaluate, develop, reward, retain) and address performance issues with personnel action recommendations

  • Promote a culture of collaboration, trust, and teamwork through effective communication, focusing on employee retention and engagement

  • Identify process improvement opportunities through elimination of redundant activities

  • Participate in process automation initiatives and regional/global projects

  • Ensure proper onboarding of new hires, organize related trainings, and determine training needs of direct reports for professional development

Skills, Competencies & Experience Required

  • 3-5 years' experience in Customer Service, Order Management, Order to Cash, or similar (preferably in Pharma)

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a team lead

  • Understanding of commercial policies, pricing, rebates, invoices, returns and claims policies

  • Hands-on experience with SAP (essential), S4 Hana SD module preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced MS Excel skills

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and data analysis capabilities to improve processes and performance

  • Clear and effective communication skills with professional customer interaction and complaint handling abilities

  • Team collaboration with end-to-end mindset, flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Leadership abilities to inspire, motivate, and guide team members with autonomous work approach, strong organizational skills, and action-oriented delivery-driven mindset

  • Good command of English and Spanish (or other European language) - written and verbal
