The mission of this position is to develop, manage and lead the site engagement strategy, site communications and external site visits, site workplace experience and other business operational strategies in addition to supporting the Site Head of Manufacturing & Supply US in managing the Swiftwater Site.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Security, HSE, Site Technical Services, Engineering teams and R&D, Site P&C lead and Internal Communications to assure that the site is being properly managed to support the activities of all the stakeholders.

  • Coordinate visits of the site for External Visitors (government agencies including BARDA, US Dept of Agriculture, US Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, US Environmental Protection Agency, OSHA).

  • Coordinate visits of the site for Sanofi Senior management including planning, topics, people involved, agenda, tours, etc.

  • Member of the Swiftwater Site Management Committee (SSMC). Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining the meeting master schedule to ensure the functional responsibilities of the SSMC are met, which includes identifying and prioritizing meeting topics/discussions, and driving the SSMC action item register among members to support overall site operations.

  • Stakeholder participant with CBRE for workplace experience. Key responsibilities include participating in the CBRE monthly governance and finance meetings.

  • Provide support to the VP M&S for special project management for site operations and/or infrastructure developments/continuous improvement programs.

  • Identify and prepare for critical thought leadership engagements. Work with VP and coach the SLT members to improve the business and transversal relationship.

  • Set up and maintain governance to align leadership teams on key priorities throughout the year: leadership team meetings, offsite meetings, strategic committees and decision bodies, participants, frequency, etc.

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and modernization across the site. Lead change management initiatives that foster innovation, agility, and employee engagement. Develop programs that encourage cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to drive site excellence.

  • Support the site Business Continuity Plan and Crisis Committee including cyber security and disaster recovery plans.

  • SWR site has geographical difficulties with attracting new talent. This role is also responsible for working with Universities and People & Culture team to ensure acquisition of an early talent pool.

  • Management/Ownership of the M&S rotational development program for early talent.

  • Develop and implement strategic workforce planning strategies that anticipate future skill requirements, identify capability gaps, and create development pathways. Partner with People & Culture to build talent pipelines that address both current operational needs and future strategic objectives.

  • Acting as M&S representative on the US Inclusion Council.

  • Identify and pursue relevant government grant opportunities to support site initiatives and capital investments. Develop and maintain positive relationships with local, state, and federal government representatives to advocate for the site's interests and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Work with Head of M&S, Vaccines US and SLT teams to identify, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies and digital solutions that enhance site operations, productivity, and sustainability.

  • Oversee and track progress of the site's key strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with Sanofi's global objectives. Provide regular updates to site leadership and develop KPIs to measure success and identify areas requiring additional focus or resources.

About You

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA, in Engineering or another relevant technical field

  • 15+ years of experience in Business Management in Operations and allied disciplines such as Manufacturing, R&D or Commercial Operations.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to actively and cooperatively work with cross functional teams.

  • 10% Travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters level degree in technical field (i.e. Biology and chemical/mechanical engineering) or MBA with solid business training, is desirable.

  • Certifications: Operational excellence/Lean Six Sigma certification – green or black belt or other certifications.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing, aligning, socializing, monitoring, adapting, and delivering strategies in dynamic, rapidly changing environments.

Key Technical competencies and soft skills:

  • Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in written form effectively through multiple layers of the organization.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership/teamwork abilities are required.

  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and health authority inspections is required.

  • A strong customer focus and ability to prioritize and adapt to business and manufacturing needs are required.

  • Diverse business and industrial manufacturing knowledge base.

The salary range for this position is:

$148,125.00 - $213,958.33
