The Greater China Reward Specialist is member of Reward & Performance Greater China team, specifically leading mature reward and performance initiatives across the Greater China region, including Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. This elevated role is part of the PCOM 3.0 transformation blueprint, which focuses on enhancing organizational capabilities through digital innovation, strategic partnerships, and operational excellence. The position plays a critical role in driving existing mature reward and performance programs, digital innovation, and cross-functional partnerships, primarily with Digital and Business Operations teams. The role requires advanced expertise in leading moderately complex reward projects, managing stakeholder relationships, and serving as the regional subject matter expert for reward and performance practices of established mature programs and processes.

About Job

Strategic Reward Focal

Vaccines Greater China Reward Focal:

  • Serve as the dedicated reward focal point for Vaccines Greater China business unit under the leadership of the Greater China Commercial Reward focal

  • Conduct market competitiveness analysis and benchmarking studies

  • Lead reward strategy development and implementation aligned with business objectives (under guidance from the R&P partner for Greater China Commercial)

  • Partner with business leaders to ensure competitive and effective reward programs

  • Drive reward program optimization and continuous improvement initiatives

Annual Salary Structure Value Review:

  • Lead comprehensive annual salary structure value review for Greater China region

  • Present recommendations and implement approved salary structure adjustments

  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment with organizational standards

Communication Excellence and Content Leadership

Communication Content Creation and Management:

  • Lead creation and updates of communication content for Greater China mature programs

  • Develop and maintain performance impact communications and materials

  • Create and update One Support articles for regional audience

  • Lead annual handbook updates including flexible benefits and insurance updated, and regular handbook updates such as employee handbook and reward handbook

  • Develop new employee training materials and R&P reference materials

  • Manage translation projects for global content or communication assets such as R&P reference book

Program Implementation and Digital Innovation

ESPP Program Leadership:

  • Lead annual Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) landing and implementation in Greater China

  • Coordinate with global teams and local internal and external stakeholders for seamless program delivery

  • Manage communication campaigns and employee education initiatives while ensuring legal compliance

  • Monitor program performance and drive continuous improvement

Digital Initiative Leadership:

  • Lead maintenance and improvement of all existing R&P mature digital initiatives

  • Oversee Digital Offer Tool optimization and enhancement, coordinating with global teams to be prepared for the future global solution landing

  • Drive Market Pay system improvements and user experience enhancements

  • Lead TRS (Total Rewards Statement) 2.0 evolution and feature development

  • Collaborate with Digital Team on automation and system integration projects

Partnership and Knowledge Management

Cross-Functional Partnership Leadership:

  • Lead strategic partnership initiatives with People Services and Chengdu hub

  • Drive knowledge transfer programs and best practice sharing

  • Establish and maintain effective collaboration frameworks

  • Support team members in partnership development

  • Drive process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives

Tier 2 R&P Query Handling:

  • Serve as escalation point for technical R&P queries and issues

  • Provide expert guidance and solutions for challenging cases

  • Develop knowledge base and reference materials for common issues

  • Train and support Tier 1 support team members

Operational Excellence and Support

Benefits and Organizational Activities:

  • Support benefits offsite activities towards all employees planning and execution

  • Lead organizational activities related to R&P programs

  • Coordinate team building and engagement initiatives

  • Manage vendor relationships and event logistics

  • Support global R&P visits and regional collaboration activities

About You

Language Requirements

• Fluency in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken) required

• Proficiency in Cantonese highly desirable for Hong Kong market support

Experience & Knowledge

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

• 3+ years of progressive experience in HR with focus on rewards, benefits, or performance management

• Advanced experience with HRIS systems (Workday expertise preferred)

• Expert-level data analysis and Excel skills, including advanced modeling and automation

• Deep familiarity with Greater China region regulatory environments, compensation structures, and cultural considerations

• Experience in digital transformation and system implementation projects
