As an Events & Engagements Team Leader within our Global Meetings & Events, within the Procurement Services tower, you’ll lead a team of Events & Engagement Specialists and/or Analysts supporting internal and HCP-related events for a specific GBU/Geography as applicable. You will ensure operational excellence, team performance, stakeholder satisfaction, and compliance with Sanofi’s standards and global policies. Main responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Management: Lead, coach, and manage a team of 8-12 Event & Engagement Specialists/Analysts, ensuring efficient delivery of support services and compliance with defined standards and timelines
  • Operational Supervision: Oversee day-to-day operations including planning, resource allocation, event coordination (meetings, congresses, advisory boards), and KPI adherence while serving as primary escalation point for operational issues
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with In-country Leads to align team assignments, set goals and success metrics, monitor performance, and address productivity or quality concerns across geographies and business units
  • Performance Management: Evaluate team member performance and potential, co-develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs), ensure equitable workload distribution, and coordinate leave approvals during peak periods
  • Training & Development: Provide comprehensive onboarding, local training, and continuous learning opportunities on GM&E tools and systems to ensure team upskilling and role clarity
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track project milestones, team KPIs, and delivery metrics while providing regular performance updates to Hub Leads, In-country Leads, and stakeholders through governance reviews
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to FMV principles, internal controls, and regulatory standards across all team deliverables while identifying process improvements and knowledge transfer opportunities
  • Culture & Infrastructure: Foster positive team culture through collaboration and recognition initiatives, manage hybrid/on-site support logistics, and contribute to GM&E's transformation agenda through process improvements and tool adoption

About you

Experience:

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in Events/Project Management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Preferably at least 2 years of experience in a people management or team lead capacity but not mandatory. Experience working in a matrix environment with regional or global stakeholders will be a plus.

Skills:

  • Soft Skills: Strong people management and coaching capabilities. Good communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to prioritize, manage ambiguity, and resolve issues proactively. Comfortable working across cultures and time zones
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint. Familiarity with event platforms like One CRM, Cvent, SpotMe, and other compliance tools is desirable.

Education:

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related fields, Project management or meetings/events certifications are a plus

Languages:

  • Fluent English, both written and verbal
