The B100 operations manager is responsible for the relevant manufacturing operations in compliance with cGMP according to their specific production area (upstream, downstream, MWS, etc). The manager is responsible for the daily activities of unionized staff in a cGMP facility in compliance with company policies. This includes responsibility for the scheduling and execution of all operations with adequate level of GMP documentation. This includes support from a user perspective for B100 project activities and adherence to SOPs, cGMP and HSE procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support B100 operations design through validation stages, review and approve technical/quality documentation, and manage equipment administration including user access and audit trails.

  • Develop and own production schedules for validation and manufacturing, manage preventative maintenance plans, support recipe development, and ensure timely execution of all production activities.

  • Support shop floor operations (MES, PCS), develop and manage manufacturing documentation lifecycle (eBPR, Logs), and contribute to operational budgeting and staffing decisions.

  • Collaborate with QOOQ, QOSA, and RA teams to ensure GMP compliance, lead procedure development, minimize deviations, and serve as primary contact for audits and regulatory inspections

    Training & Quality Culture - Develop lesson plans, ensure timely training completion, conduct manufacturing inspections (GEMBA, MSV), and drive continuous improvement initiatives to build strong quality culture.

  • Organize and develop high-performing teams, establish staff objectives, manage training plans, coach personal development goals, and handle hiring and attendance management.

  • Implement lean management systems, lead process efficiency initiatives, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and manage facility improvements through change control processes.

  • Ensure workplace safety compliance, investigate and report incidents, provide appropriate PPE, integrate EHS initiatives, and collaborate with safety committees to maintain continuous improvement

Scope and dimensions

  • Shift size: up to 20 Union staff

  • Oversees specific area of operations in Building 100

  • Develop and ensure consistency of communication across shift

About You

  • 3-year College Diploma with minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech environment OR bachelor's degree in science/engineering or in a related field with minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech environment.

  • People management experience preferred.

The salary range for this position is:

$76,200.00 - $110,066.66

All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
