iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

About the job

As Associate Medical Advisor VIE within our Medical team, you’ll report to the UK&IE Medical Head for aT1D, this role provides an exciting opportunity to support medical activities, stakeholder engagement, and scientific communications within the UK aT1D team. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge developments in autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes while developing expertise in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of medical strategy in alignment with global and local objectives. Assist in the preparation and delivery of scientific presentations and medical education materials.
  • Contribute to advisory board planning and execution. Support medical information activities and scientific response development.
  • Support initiatives focused on early detection and screening of aT1D, including awareness campaigns and educational programs.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve early diagnosis rates in the UK, helping to reduce complications such as Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) at diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with patient organisations and healthcare professionals to raise awareness about early detection and stages of T1D development.
  • Stay current with latest research in early detection methodologies, biomarkers, and screening approaches.
  • Support data collection and analysis related to early detection programs and their impact
  • Help develop educational materials for healthcare professionals about recognizing early symptoms and risk factors. Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
  • Support engagement with patient advocacy groups and professional organizations.

About you

Experience:

  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and/or healthcare environment.
  • Experience in stakeholder management.
  • Experience in scientific writing or medical communications would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of diabetes or autoimmune conditions would be desirable.
  • Previous exposure to medical affairs or clinical research would be desirable.

Soft and Technical skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate scientific data.
  • Project management skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific subject (life sciences, biomedical sciences, pharmacology, biochemistry, physiology, or related scientific disciplines) OR equivalent education.
  • A higher degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant scientific field would be a plus.

Languages:

  • Fluent English (written and verbal).
