Join the engine of Sanofi's mission — where deep immunoscience meets bold, AI-powered research. We're looking for a self-motivated collaborator with passion for biobanking management, with strong experience and knowledge in handling biological samples, compliance and data management.

This position will be based in Ghent (Belgium), supporting both the BCOE in Ghent and Frankfurt (Germany), helping scientists access biological samples faster and more compliantly through our global digital repository tool (Benchling-BioSource).

Main responsibilities:

  • Support BCOE site heads in managing biosamples throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Sanofi standards and local regulations.
  • Register samples in Benchling-Biosource, review data quality and become a Subject Matter Expert for the platform.
  • Support scientists with biosample sourcing requests and manage sample workflows, storage, and disposal.
  • Perform ethical and contractual compliance checks for human biological samples and propagatable biosamples.
  • Support contract setup with partners and assess HBS providers through the Scientist.com platform.
  • Drive process optimization based on stakeholder feedback and participate in key meetings.
  • Support implementation of global biosample management initiatives and participate in audits.

About you

  • Education: Master's degree in life sciences or equivalent
  • Experience: Strong scientific background and experience with a variety of biological samples; experience in local and preferably global transversal collaborations, experience and knowledge in biobanking management
  • Core competencies: Autonomy, proactivity, problem-solving orientation, quality focus with attention to detail
  • Technical skills: Knowledge of licensing documents and contracts
  • Personal qualities: Appetite for change, ability to challenge the status quo, strong communication skills
  • Languages: Fluent English is mandatory, Dutch will be an asset
